Nimbuzz recently launched a S60V5 edition of their messenger application to support 5800 and the upcoming N97. For the uninitiated people, Nimbuzz is an IM / VoIP application that supports Skype, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, ICQ, AIM, GoogleTalk, Facebook, MySpace, Jabber etc. The appearance and UI of this application looks a lot similar to the the Fring Application but feature wise, this application has more features as compared to Fring. However like Fring, Nimbuzz Application is also completely free to download and use.

The Main Features of Nimbuzz Application are :

  • You can chat with friends and family using the Landscape Mode so that you can make use of the wide keyboard which make it chatting a pleasurable experience.
  • Shortcut buttons are provided so that you can easily update your profile and also your status.
  • Completely optimized for Finger touch Navigation. You will not have to use the stylus even a single time.
  • Personal messages are completely displayed in the contact list for all networks.
  • You can chat with your friends and family using any network among the 14 supported IM Networks viz Skype, Yahoo Messenger, Windows Live Messenger, AIM, ICQ, Google Talk etc
  • Voice Chat with all your friends and family using Skype, Gtalk or Nimbuzz’s own network via GPRS/ WiFi connection.
  • You can make phone calls at very low rates with SkypeOut feature or using one of their SIP partners.
  • Not yet satisfied with its capabilities? You can check out the demo of the Nimbuzz Application on Nokia 5800 here
