Nimbuzz recently launched a S60V5 edition of their messenger application to support 5800 and the upcoming N97. For the uninitiated people, Nimbuzz is an IM / VoIP application that supports Skype, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, ICQ, AIM, GoogleTalk, Facebook, MySpace, Jabber etc. The appearance and UI of this application looks a lot similar to the the Fring Application but feature wise, this application has more features as compared to Fring. However like Fring, Nimbuzz Application is also completely free to download and use.

I went to their website and the download froze. I found the latest version for my SonyEricsson on http://www.getjar.com and used wap.getjar.com to download Nimbuzz for my Nokia.
Decent chat service if you have friends on there. Better yet – was all of the other free software I found on Getjar.com including a few programs that compete with Nimbuzz.
I was one of the big fan of skype but after using Jajah, Nimbuzz and Vopium I believe they are the best competitors and not only offer cheap solutions but their add-ons are also amazing.
I downloaded the file using my phone and installed it. For me nimbuzz is not a good software but a perfect software to use for chat and messaging.
@Sofia @Marquee I completely agree. Nimbuzz is simply the best client I have used till now. It beats even Fring.
installed nimbuzz (Nokia 5800) for the first time and was really impressed. However from the next day and up until now 5 days already can not get connected not via WiFi nor GPRS 3G etc. pls hel and advice really need help on this, liked it very much!
