Sony Xperia NXT family hands-on

Sony announced two new Xperia NXT smartphones at MWC a couple of days ago and today we had a chance to go hands-on with the new devices, the Xperia P and Xperia U, alongside the already announced Xperia S. Read on for our hands-on impressions.

With the new Xperia NXT family, Sony has introduced a new design language that looks stunning. While the new Xperia S, Xperia P and Xperia U were developed under Sony Ericsson, the far reaching influence of Sony are clear. The translucent bar near the bottom of the phones for example reminds me of a couple of their Bravia TV models with ‘floating’ frame construction. Read on for our hands-on impressions.

Quick Look : SmartDock for Sony XPERIA P

Sony Xperia P Announced with 4-inch display, 8MP Camera and NFC

 

Sony has announced its new upcoming smartphone, the Sony Xperia P at the company’s press event held at MWC 2012 Barcelona. The phone comes with an Aluminium uni-body, and features a dual-core processor, 4-inch WhiteMagic display, 8-megapixel camera with 1080p video recording and GPS. Huawei Ascend D quad, world’s fastest phone to be showcased today?

So with Huawei MWC conference will be starting in just about an hour but their in news already with someone spotting the Huawei Ascend D quad poster at the Barcelona airport. What’s interesting is that below the device, it carries the tagline “World’s fastest phone”. Wow, I think that is a bit too much, because we will also be having the HTC and the Sony conference today so I think yes, it might be the fastest smartphone for about 3-4 hours.

Sony completes Sony Ericsson buyout

Sony has announced that they have completed the buyout and acquire the 50% stake in Sony Ericsson today which they announced last October. HTC rumored to get PlayStation tag this year!
