Airtel has announced that it has started rolling out India’s first LTE-Advanced (4G+) technology (carrier aggregation across TD LTE and LTE FDD) on a live 4G network starting from Kerala. It has partnered with Nokia Networks for deploying the carrier aggregation technology in the state.
Mix Radio that was acquired by LINE messenger in 2014 from Microsoft is shutting down. The move comes from the company as the service is not turning out to be financially viable. Mix Radio was originally created by Nokia in 2007 and then owned by Microsoft.
HERE and Nuance are collaborating to enhance integrated location and voice services in the connected car platform. Both the companies will work together to advance voice-activated point-of-interest (POI) experiences for connected cars.

Nokia has completed the $2.8 billion sale of HERE mapping tech to German automakers. The company has now announced its plans to expand its global mapping efforts.
Microsoft is said to be working on a new Surface phone that will be ready for launch in second half of 2016. The Surface phone will be a premium device and will be different from the Lumia range of devices.
