Qualcomm starts shipping First Dual Core Snapdragon Chipset running at 1.2 GHz

Yesterday during Computex Taiwan , Qualcomm famous for the Snapdragon processors showed the sample of its first dual-CPU Snapdragon chipsets.  The 3rd generation Snapdragon Solutions sport 2 Cores Running up to 1.2 GHz . These products are namely MSM8260 and MSM8660 and MSM8x60 series. These third generation chipsets which are specially used to power up smartphones, tablets and smartbook devices.

World’s first Symbian^2 device starts shipping from Japan

Symbian today announced that Symbian^2 (S^2) platform will be running on the 4 new devices from NTT DOCOMO INC which was unveiled on 18 May 2010 viz the docomo PRIME series™ F-06B, docomo STYLE series™ F-07B and docomo STYLE series F-08B, manufactured by Fujitsu Limited and the docomo PRIME series SH-07B, manufactured by Sharp Corporation.

Reliance Communications pays 8585 crores towards 3G Spectrum

Reliance Communications was fortunate to win 3G spectrum in 13 circles including Mumbai and Delhi. To buy the 3G spectrum, the payment of Rs 8585.04 crores towards 3G Spectrum Fee was made to the Department of Telecommunications. Reliance is the first company to make such a payment and other Operators such as Airtel and Aircel are expected to follow soon.

2 million iPads sold in under 60 days

Believe it or not , the Apple iPad is the latest craze and it’s selling like hot cakes. In fact Apple announced today that it has sold 2 million iPads so far since the official shipping date of April 3rd.

The iPad does lack features like Flash , Multitasking but whats even more interesting is the rise of iPad clones like the APad China iPad which are selling at a fraction of the cost of the original device and running Android.

EXCLUSIVE: Mini-(P)review of the upcoming Nokia C6!

As i said in the Post for the Picture Gallery yesterday, I’ve been given the brand-spanking-new Nokia C6 for a few Days. When it was announced, i thought that this might actually sell like Hot Cakes, and after 1 1/2  Days with it, I haven’t changed my Mind. With it’s Features, Form Factors and Price Tags, the C-Series will be aimed and surely sold mainly to young People, who wanna be connected 24/7 and keep in Touch with their Friends, be it via SMS, IM, Social Network or Mail. With a Price Tag of 220 Euro before Taxes and Subsidies it stays in an affordable Range, especially if you get it via Provider.

Before you continue reading, I have been told that the Software of those two Models are not ready yet. Things can slightly change until the Phone comes out to the Markets, but nonetheless I must say that the Bugs were very few and the Operating Speeds pretty good. Micromax has entered Sri Lanka in a move to tap the Rural market there. Jacqueline Fernandez who is Miss Sri Lanka and also a Bollywood actress was present at the event in Sri Lanka. She might endorse the product in the country. The company is seen as a pretty aggressive player and claims to have close to 6% market share in India.
