Nokia Symbian Anna Update rolling out to N8, E7, C7 and C6-01

Nokia has announced that the much awaited Symbian Anna update is finally available for Symbian phones such as the N8, C7 , E7 and C6-01.  The update brings a new UI along with some improvements in messaging , maps and the browser. The update is available through Ovi Suite and as an Over The Air update.The Over the Air normally takes a bit longer to appear so you can try using Ovi Suite to check if your phone has received the update. The release also says that more than 10 Symbian phones will be launched in the next 12 months. The update is slowly rolling out to all countries . Have you updated your Nokia to Anna ? Let us know ! Nokia C6-01 Starts Shipping Today

Nokia seems to be fixing it’s time-to-market problem pretty well recently. The C7 started shipping in record time recently and now the C6-01 which was announced at Nokia World is also shipping worldwide. Nokia C6-00, C6-01 and C7 Full Specs Comparison

At Nokia World today, Nokia announced the C6. Wait. Isn’t that already available and just right now getting into the hands of people? Yes. But you see, that was the old C6, or C6-00 if you want, with Symbian^1 and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The new C6, or the C6-01, is a Symbian^3 phone with no hardware keyboard. Confused?

Err, yes, so am I. For the record, I simply do NOT get this new naming convention. I thought they changed from their 4-digit 6230 kind of names to avoid confusion. Well, they reached new levels of confusion all-together with this!

Anyway, after the E7 vs N8 specs comparison table we brought you earlier, we thought it would be appropriate to show the differences between the two C6s and the other new Cseries device, the Nokia C7 (or C7-00 I think). Nokia C6 with Clear Black Display announced


Nokia has announced a new variant of the C6 with an 8MP camera and Clear Black Display. Looks like a cheaper version of the N8.

Nokia C6 India Launch in September ?

If you are waiting to buy the Nokia C6 in India , you might have to wait till September according to Techtree who got a official reply via Twitter from Nokia. We already showed you a Preview of the C6 and a lot of you liked it . The bad news is that you got to wait for more than a month to buy this here.

Nokia C6-01 with 8MP Camera Leaked on Nokia Website

Nokia C6 got a lot of attention when it was announced and it was even leaked weeks before the official announcement . Now a variant of the C6 called the C6-01 has been published on the Nokia Netherlands website. The main difference we can spot at this moment is the 8 MP Camera with a Dual LED Flash on the Back. EXCLUSIVE: Mini-(P)review of the upcoming Nokia C6!

As i said in the Post for the Picture Gallery yesterday, I’ve been given the brand-spanking-new Nokia C6 for a few Days. When it was announced, i thought that this might actually sell like Hot Cakes, and after 1 1/2  Days with it, I haven’t changed my Mind. With it’s Features, Form Factors and Price Tags, the C-Series will be aimed and surely sold mainly to young People, who wanna be connected 24/7 and keep in Touch with their Friends, be it via SMS, IM, Social Network or Mail. With a Price Tag of 220 Euro before Taxes and Subsidies it stays in an affordable Range, especially if you get it via Provider.

Before you continue reading, I have been told that the Software of those two Models are not ready yet. Things can slightly change until the Phone comes out to the Markets, but nonetheless I must say that the Bugs were very few and the Operating Speeds pretty good. Anyways, here’s what I’ve found out after using the Nokia C6 for a full day:

Exclusive: Nokia C6 black and white – Picture Gallery

How about this for some Sunday Fun? I managed to get my Hands on not one, but two Nokia C6 for this Weekend and as usual, went out to snap some juicy Pictures of those two. The Nokia C6 has been announced on April 13th, 2010 and is one of the brand new C-Series Line-Up. It features a 3,2″ nHD (360×640 pixels) resistive Touchscreen, a brand new, FANTASTIC 4-row slide out QWERTY Keyboard, with D-Pad, a 5 Megapixel Camera with Single LED Flash, a 1200 mAh Battery and some cool new Software Features, such as new Mail Client (like E71), smart dialing (yes!!) and a new lock Screen. Apart from that, you get WLAN, free GPS Navigation with Ovi Maps, 3,5mm Jack aaand hoorray for Homescreen Widgets! This all for 220 Euro before Taxes and Subsidies – really good Phone for such a Price, don’t you think?? I’m using it for some Hours now, and so far I like what i see!

Nokia C6 Photos – Black

Here are some cool hands on photos of Nokia C6 Black Edition . We have been tracking the C6 ever since it leaked and it was announced last month and it is expected to be available in India shortly . The C6 is a QWERTY Slider phone from Nokia and brings  a new design to the table. It packs 4 rows of keys and a joystick on the right. The phone has physical keys for call , menu and hangup on the front and can be accessed without opening the slider.
