Xiaomi just launched the REDMI 15 5G, the company’s latest smartphone in the number series in India, as it had announced. It has a 6.9-inch FHD+ 144Hz LCD screen with a centre punch-hole, and the company says that it has the largest display in the segment. The phone is TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light (Software Solution), TÜV Rheinland Circadian Friendly and TÜV Rheinland Flicker Free Certified.
The REDMI 15 5G is powered by Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 SoC with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 8GB of virtual RAM. It has a 50MP rear camera, along with a secondary camera, and has a 8MP front camera. The phone runs Android 15 with HyperOS 2 on top. It will get 2 Android OS updates and 4 years of security updates.
It packs a 7000mAh battery, which is the largest battery with silicon-carbon technology in the segment. The phone has the segment’s only aerospace-grade metal island, said the company. It has 33W fast charging, and also comes with 18W reverse wired charging support. It is engineered for 1600 charge cycles, retaining up to 80% capacity even after four years of use, said Xiaomi.

The REDMI 15 5G comes in Midnight Black, Frosted Black and Sandy Purple colours and is priced at Rs. 14,999 for the 6GB + 128GB, the 8GB + 128GB model costs Rs. 15,999 and the 8GB + 256GB model costs Rs. 16,999. It will be available from Amazon.in, Mi.com and offline stores starting from August 28th.
