
OpenAI has introduced ChatGPT Go, a new subscription plan in India that provides increased access to the platform’s most used features at an affordable price. Go offers higher limits, longer memory, and extended tool access compared with the Free tier.
Key Features of ChatGPT Go
- Extended GPT-5 access: Use OpenAI’s flagship model more extensively.
- Expanded image generation: Generate more images for work or personal use.
- Increased file uploads: Analyze and work with additional documents, spreadsheets, and other files.
- Advanced data analysis tools: Use Python and similar tools more frequently for problem-solving.
- Longer memory: Maintain context over longer conversations for more personalized responses.
- Projects, tasks, and custom GPTs: Organize work, track progress, and build custom AI tools with added flexibility.
Pricing and Availability
ChatGPT Go is available in India for Rs. 399 per month, with automatic monthly billing that can be canceled at any time. Payments can be made via credit cards or UPI.

Users can subscribe by logging into ChatGPT, opening their profile menu, selecting Upgrade Plan, and opting for Try Go. The subscription is being gradually rolled out to all eligible users across India, the company said.
Additional Notes
- API usage, connectors, legacy models (like 4o), and Sora are not included.
- Go features are available on 1-800-ChatGPT on WhatsApp.
- Users switching from Plus or Pro will remain on their current plan until the end of the billing cycle; Go pricing applies afterward.
