Samsung Galaxy S3 Benchmarks

I’m currently attending CTIA in New Orleans in USA and guess what I found at a Mobile Focus show last nite here – the Samsung Galaxy S3 which was just shown off in London last week is now being show off here. I held the S3 for the first time in the hand and it felt nice except for the plasticky outer shell. The display was gorgeous and the phone was screaming fast. Nokia brings Nokia Store operator billing to Vodafone and Airtel


Nokia has announced that have partnered with Vodafone India and Airtel to offer integrated billing solutions on the Nokia Store in India. They partnered with Reliance to introduce operator billing on Nokia Store last year. This would let users download local and global paid content from the Nokia Store and pay for their downloads as part of their monthly mobile phone bills or have the amount deducted from the pre-paid balance. Sony Xperia GX and Xperia SX LTE smartphones announced in Japan

Sony Mobile has announced 2 new LTE-enabled smartphones, Xperia GX and Xperia SX for the Japanese markets. They unveiled Xperia NX and arco HD for Japan earlier this year. The Xperia GX comes with 4.6-inch Reality display and the Xperia SX has a 3.7-inch Reality display. RIM announces new COO and CMO

BlackBerry maker RIM (Research in Motion) has announced its new Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Kristian Tear is the new COO and Frank Boulben is the new CMO. Tear served as Executive Vice President of Sony Mobile Communications previously and has held operational leadership positions with Ericsson in Europe, Asia and Latin America. Boulben is the former Executive Vice President of Strategy, Marketing and Sales for LightSquared. He previously severed as Global Director of Commercial Strategy for Vodafone Group and Executive Vice President of Brand and Consumer Marketing for Orange Group. RIM announces BlackBerry Curve 9320

RIM  (Research in Motion) has announced BlackBerry Curve 9320 with 3G connectivity. They launched the BlackBerry Curve 9220, an affordable smartphone with 2G connectivity in India last month. It has similar design as the 9220 and has 2.44-inch (320×240 pixels) TFT display with a QWERTY keyboard and a dedicated BBM button. Other than the 3G support this has 3.2MP camera with Flash and runs on BlackBerry OS 7.1. Viber for BlackBerry and Windows Phone Beta now available, Voice calling coming soon

Viber launched VOIP (Voice Over IP) app for iPhone back in 2010 and for Android last year that we reviewed. Now they have launched Beta apps for BlackBerry and Windows Phone platforms. Twitpic photo and video sharing service has launched their iPhone app. It lets you share photos and videos easily. Samsung Focus 2 announced, coming to AT&T on May 20 for $49.99

Samsung has announced Focus 2 in the Focus family, followed by Focus, Focus S and Focus Flash. It is the 3rd Windows Phone smartphone on AT&T with 4G LTE support after Nokia Lumia 900 and HTC HTC Titan II. The Samsung Focus 2 has 4-inch (480 x 800 Pixels) Super AMOLED display,  5MP Auto focus camera with 720p HD video recording and a VGA front facing camera. Evernote acquires Penultimate Handwriting app for iPad

Evernote has acquired Penultimate, popular digital handwriting application for iPad which is also the 4th best-selling iPad app of all time. It also aims to bring the app to more platforms and support to more devices. The Penultimate app already offers basic Evernote integration such as search, and organization.
