Apple iPad Event set for March 7th in San Francisco

Apple has started sending out invites to the journalists in the US for the iPad event slated for March 7th in San Francisco. Apple is holding its event at San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in downtown San Francisco, as opposed to its headquarters in Cupertino. The image in the invites clearly indicates that they are going to announce the next iPad with high-resolution display. Asus Padfone gets detailed, coming in April with Stylus Headset

Asus unveiled the PadFone that can dock into a tablet last year, full specs of the device is now available. The tablet can also be docked into a keyboard and the device now comes with Stylus headset. The PadFone comes with 4.3-inch (960×540 pixels), Super AMOLED capacitive Multi touch display and is powered by 1.5 GHz Dual-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has 8MP Auto Focus camera with LED Flash, F2.2 Aperture and secondary VGA camera. The PadFone Station has 10.1-inch display. Opera launches Opera Mini Next for Android, BlackBerry, Symbian and Java phones

Opera has launched Opera Mini Next, a new Opera Mini app that enables users preview the new features in upcoming release of Opera Mini that is still under development. The Opera Mini Next, version 7 has Smart Page, unlimited speed dials and more. This is a separate app, so you can use Opera Mini Next alongside the regular release of Opera Mini. LG demos LTE Voice-Video call switching at MWC

LG has demonstrated world’s first voice-to-video call handover over a LTE network at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012.  This is based on LG’s proprietary technology that enables users to switch back and forth between high quality voice and high resolution video call modes during an ongoing telephone conversation.
