Nokia has announced 2 new Dual SIM phones, Asha 205 and 206 in India. These phones come with a 2.4-inch (240 x 320 pixels) 65k color display, but the Asha 205 has A QWERTY keyboard with Island keyboard that increases readability, tactility and typing. Both these phones have Slam feature to share multimedia content like photos, music and videos with nearby friends instantly. It works on Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones without the need to pair devices, and without the recipient needing to also have Slam (iOS and Windows Phone not supported currently). Samsung Galaxy Note 2 sales surpass 5 million units
Samsung has announced that they have sold over 5 million units of Galaxy Note 2 globally. Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note II at IFA in August and launched it in South Korea and India at the end of September. It took just 2 months for the Note 2 to achieve this feat, compared to 5 months for the first Note. It crossed 3 million units at the end of last month. Motorola Mobility India Website Shut Down , bye bye Moto
Seems hard to believe but Motorola does not have a dedicated website anymore for India.
Google had acquired Motorola Mobility in a multi-billion dollar deal last year and very recently the company had said that it was indeed shutting down its India operations due to the global restructuring under the new owner . The Motorola India website along with several other country sites have been shutdown and a message pops up when you log on to the site. WishTel IRA Icon HD 8-inch 3G tablet running Android 4.0 launched for Rs.12999
WishTel has launched IRA Icon HD, their new tablet with a 8-inch TFT capacitive multi-touch display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz processor. It has 3G support with built-in SIM card slot and has voice calling features. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), has a 2MP rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera. The company launched a 7-inch tablet IRA THING 2 and a 10.1-inch IRA Comet HD few months back. The new 8-inch tablet would compete with the BSNL Penta T-Pad WS802C that also comes with 3G support. The much awaited Android Jelly Bean update is now rolling out for users in India. The 4.1 update brings much appreciated features like Google Now and Project Butter. While HTC had started rolling out the update in Korea last month, the International update has taken some time to be pushed out.

Samsung Galaxy Camera launched in India for Rs. 29,900
Samsung has finally launched the Galaxy Camera in India. It was first unveiled at IFA in Berlin in August, and Samsung announced couple of months back that it would launch in India this month. Samsung started taking pre-orders for the Galaxy Camera few weeks back. The 16 Megapixel camera has 21x Optical Zoom Lens with BSI CMOS sensor. It packs in a 4.8-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD Super Clear Touch Display with 308 ppi and is powered by a 1.4 GHz Quad-Core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Apple receives patent for new journaling feature, aims to geo-tag everything you do
Apple has been granted a new patent (No.8,316,046) which allows the phone to automatically geo-tag each and every event that takes place on the phone. The service will create a log of all forms of device data. The patent indicates that a map will be used to display the data with icons to segregate life events between phone call, downloads, etc.

Lava IRIS N320 Dual SIM Android Smartphone launched for Rs. 3999
Lava Mobiles has launched IRIS N320, their new Dual SIM Android phone in the IRIS series, followed by the IRIS N350. Features of the IRIS N320 are similar to the N350 including a 3.5 inch (320 x 480 pixels) Capacitive multi-touch display, 1GHz processor and Android 2.3.6 (Gingerbread). It has a 2 Megapixel camera with LED flash at the back, but lacks a front-facing camera that was present in the N350. This doesn’t have 3G support similar to the IRIS N350. GTA: Vice City coming to select Android and iOS devices on December 6th for $4.99
Rockstar Games has announced that Grand Theft Auto: Vice City would be available for select new generation iOS and Android devices on December 6th for $4.99. They are celebrating 10th anniversary of their popular game by launching it on iOS and Android. The game would include several enhancements unique to Android and iOS devices similar to the GTA III including native high-resolution graphics, custom controls and more.
