Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones have a dedicated button on the left side to launch Bixby, the company’s dedicated assistant. Even though the company already confirmed that Bixby Voice assistant will not be available at the launch, it will have Bixby Vision, Home and Reminder features. Even though Samsung doesn’t allow remapping the dedicated button to launch other apps such as Google Assistant, some third-party apps like All in one Gestures that is available for free could do this. Detailed specifications of the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 surfaced last week, now the first shots of the smartphone has surfaced enclosed in a transparent case. Sadly this doesn’t reveal the front part of the phone but it shows the back with a fingerprint sensor in the middle, 3.5mm audio jack, secondary microphone and an infrared sensor on the top, speaker grills and USB Type-C port on the bottom.

Netflix has announced financial earnings for Q1 2017. The US based streaming service has recorded $2.64 billion in revenue and net income of $178 million. It reported net subscription additions of 4.95 million for the quarter which fell short of the 5.2 million subscribers forecast. Netflix now has 98.75 million subscribers, and is expected to hit 100 million subscribers milestone easily next quarter.

Google has reached a settlement with Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) agency in the two year Android antitrust case. In 2015, Russian search rival Yandex had complained that Google was abusing its position in the market by forcing Android devices to pre-install certain apps including its own search tool.
