Specifications of HTC Ocean Life, an upcoming mid-range smartphone surfaced back in July. Later popular tipster LlabTooFeR shared that the phone will also be released under Android One program. Now the same tipster has shared detailed specifications of the Android phone that reveals Snapdragon 630 SoC instead of Snapdragon 660 in the standard version. It also reveals water-resistant body with IP67 ratings and two storage variants.

WhatsApp is getting its own emojis. The Facebook owned messaging app has now unveiled new set emojis that will be used in the app while chatting. Huawei’s Honor brand has launched the Honor Holly 4, successor of last year’s Honor Holly 3 in India. It was introduced as Honor 6A in China back in May and packs a 5-inch HD display, is powered by Snapdragon 430 Mobile Platform, runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat) with EMUI 5.1 on top, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, PDAF and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Google has started rolling out new over-the-air (OTA) update for Pixel and Nexus devices and also posted factory images as part of monthly Android Security release. Like last time, is not available for Nexus Player yet. Hybrid Smartwatches are gradually becoming a trend. They are a good combination of classic analogue watches with activity tracking features. Skagen, part of the Fossil Group, recently launched one such hybrid smartwatch dubbed as Skagen Connected. Google Android 8.0 Oreo is finally out of beta and is slowly finding its way into smartphones, and with that being out of the way, it’s time for Android Wear. Google is finally taking beta registrations for the preliminary beta update for the next version of Android Wear starting today. Though it is the next version of Android wear, you will be disappointed to know that the update doesn’t bring a lot of new features and will only be termed as “technical upgrade to API 26”. Google is out with Android distribution numbers for the month of October. Android Oreo that was released little over a month ago, has entered the charts this month and is now present on 0.2% of all the devices. Google started rolling out Android 8.0 Nougat to Nexus and Pixel devices in late August.

Google is all set to unveil the Pixel 2 at an event tomorrow, October 4th. Press renders of the phone in several colors and pricing for both 64GB and 128GB storage versions surfaced last month, now clear press renders of the phone has surfaced. This also shows smaller bezel for the Pixel XL 2, thanks to 18:9 aspect ratio, but it is not an edge-to-edge screen, according to @evleaks.

Gionee unveiled the M7 smartphone with 6.01-inch FHD+ AMOLED FullView display last week. Now the S11 with a similar display has been certified by TENAA in China. According to listing, this will have dual front and rear cameras. Even though the listing reveals 2.5GHz Octa-Core Processor, earlier geekbench listing revealed MT6763 processor, which could be an enhanced version of Helio P23.
Huawei already confirmed that it will unveil the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro with Kirin 970 and full-screen display offering high screen-to-body ratio at an event in Germany on October 16.
