Samsung introduced Galaxy A9 Star smartphone in China in June, later the smartphone was introduced for the global markets as Galaxy A8 Star. Now the company has started teasing the launch of the A8 Star in India, exclusively on Amazon.in. It has has a 6.28-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display, is powered by Snapdragon 660, has a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a secondary 24-megapixel rear camera. It has a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with Waterdrop Screen with screen-to-body ratio up to 90.8% for a more immersive experience, is powered by Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P60 12nm processor, has 16MP rear camera with LED flash, and secondary 2MP camera, similar to the F9 Pro, but this features a 16-megapixel front camera, packs 4GB of RAM and doesn’t have VOOC Flash charge even though it packs the same 3500mAh battery. HMD Global just introduced the Nokia 5.1 Plus along with the Nokia 6.1 Plus in India. Similar to the other Nokia phones, it is an Android One smartphone. It was introduced last month in China as X5 and packs a 5.86-inch HD+ 19:9 aspect ratio 2.5D curved glass display with 84% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by MediaTek Helio P60 12nm processor with 3GB of RAM, runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) OS, which is upgradable to Android P.
For a company as young as HMD Global, they’ve sure have come a long way. Be it the lineup itself or the pace at which the products have improved.
