Amazon Prime Now delivers Fire TV Stick, Kindle and Echo within 2 hours in select cities in India

Times Internet confirms acquisition of MX Player for $146 million

After a lot of rumors, Times Internet has confirmed that it bought majority stakes in South Korea’s MX Player. At $146 million, this acquisition falls in line with January rumor which stated deal will be in the range of $200 Mn. Times Internet is aiming to build a digital-first video streaming platform atop MX Player.

Google invests $22 million in KaiOS that powers JioPhone and Nokia 8110 4G

US-based Kai Technologies, mobile operating system provider for feature phone like the popular JioPhone and Nokia 8110 4G, today announced that it has received $22 million Series A investment from Google. In addition to the investment, Google and KaiOS have also agreed to work together to make the Google Assistant, Google Maps, YouTube, and Google Search available to all KaiOS users.

LG X2 with 5-inch HD display, fingerprint sensor announced

LG has introduced X2, the company’s latest budget smartphone in Korea. It has a 5-inch HD screen, is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon SoC with 2GB of RAM, runs Android 7.1 (Nougat), has an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, ‘Auto Shot’, which recognizes faces automatically when you take a self-portrait, ‘Quick Share’, which allows you to share pictures instantly via SNS or messages, and a 5-megapixel front camera.
