Cortana won’t challenge Alexa and Google Assistant, says Microsoft CEO

It’s no secret that Microsoft’s Cortana digital assistant has fallen behind Google Assistant and Alexa, and it looks like Microsoft is taking a different route. The company’s CEO Satya Nadella revealed that Microsoft no longer sees Cortana as a competitor to Alexa or Google Assistant. “Cortana needs to be that skill for anybody who’s a Microsoft 365 subscriber,” explains Nadella. POCO F1 MIUI 10.2.2.0 stable update with 960fps slo-mo recording, enhanced low-light mode starts rolling out [Download Link]

POCO today rolled out new MIUI 10 v10.2.2.0 stable update for all the users brings new camera features including 960fps slow-motion video recording in addition to 120fps and 240fps, as well as enhanced low-light mode in the camera settings for improved low-light performance. This takes 8 photos at different exposures and merges them into one brighter, higher-quality shot. The company started testing these features last month in beta.

Collection 1 breach exposed over 770 million unique email IDs and over 21 million passwords

Collection 1 DumpAs many as 772,904,991 unique email addresses and over 21 million unique passwords have been leaked online. This results in more than 87GB of passwords and emails getting leaked. Netflix reports 35% growth YoY, adds 8.8 million new users in Q4 2018

Netflix has announced that it has seen an annual revenue of $16 billion in 2018 which is a 35% growth. The company has doubled the operating profits of $1.6 billion. Twitter acknowledges bug that exposed protected Tweets of some Android users for years

Twitter for Android has been effected with an issue where ‘Protect Your Tweets’setting has been disabled if a certain amount of changes were made. The company says that it is aware of the issue and users may have been impacted by this issue if they had protected Tweets turned on in the settings, and made certain changes to account settings such as changing the email address associated with your account between November 3, 2014, and January 14, 2019. Vivo APEX 2019 bezel-less curved screen smartphone to be introduced on January 24

Vivo introduced its APEX FullView Concept Smartphone with 98% screen-to-body ratio and an in-display fingerprint scanner at the MWC in February last year. Later it introduced the phone as NEX and the new NEX Dual Screen with a new design was unveiled last month. Today the company posted a teaser for APEX 2019 bezel-less smartphone ahead of announcement on January 24th. This shows a more curved design without the front camera or even the buttons on the sides. LG G7 ThinQ Android Pie update rolling out starting from Korea, update schedule for V35 ThinQ, V40 ThinQ, V30, G6 and more confirmed

LG has finally rolled out  Android 9.0 (Pie) update for its G7 ThinQ smartphone starting from Korea, as it had promised last month. The company has also shared update schedule for older smartphones, including some of the Q and X series smartphones in Korea, which extends throughout the year. Hope we can expect the global roll out soon after the roll out in Korea.
