Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5G with Infinity-O AMOLED screen, quad rear cameras surface in live images

Samsung is all set to introduce its Galaxy S20 at its Galaxy Unpacked event next month. We had already seen several renders of the phone, now the first set of live images of the phone have surfaced. This shows the phone’s Infinity-O AMOLED screen, name of the phone on the boot screen and quad rear cameras arranged in a rectangular part which protrudes out of the phone’s glass part. Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro rugged smartphone with 6.3-inch FHD+ display, dual rear cameras, Android 10 announced

After rumors, Samsung has officially introduced the Galaxy XCover Pro, the company’s latest rugged smartphone in the XCover series. It packs a 6.3-inch FHD+ Infinity Display with an enhanced touchscreen able to work in any condition, including rain or snow. Glove mode allows for gloves-on use and the new voice to text message feature provides real-time dictation and messaging for simple, convenient communication. Powered by Exynos 9611, it has 4GB RAM and runs Android 10 with One UI 2.0. OPPO F15 with 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, 48MP quad rear cameras, in-display fingerprint sensor launching in India on January 16

Update: OPPO has confirmed the launch of F15 smartphone in India on January 16th. It has also started posting teasers on Flipkart and Amazon.in. This confirms that the phone will have similar specifications as A91 that was launched in China recently.

OnePlus 2020 Screen Technology to be unveiled on January 13

OnePlus has sent out invites in China for introducing new 2020 screen technology on January 13. The company has not revealed any details about the event. Based on rumors we can expect 120Hz refresh rate screen, an upgrade from 90Hz screen its current flagships. OnePlus introduced its OnePlus Concept One with hidden camera technology that uses electrochromic glass on the back and a leather finish at the CES earlier this week. Xiaomi teases MIUI 12 officially ahead of launch later this year

Xiaomi announced the latest iteration of its own proprietary Android skin MIUI, dubbed MIUI 11 along with Mi 9 Pro 5G, Mi MIX Alpha 5G, and Mi AirDots Pro 2 at an event in China at the end of September, and it was roll out to range of devices starting from October. Today the company has started teasing the MIUI 12, the next major update with a new image. This shows a blue colored gradient on the number ’12’ which hints at even more visual changes. realme just launched the realme 5i, the company’s latest smartphone in the realme 5 series in India as it had promised. Instead of crystal design in Realme 5 and Realme 5s, this features a  sunrise design that offers a good grip and doesn’t attract fingerprint. The specifications are identical to the Realme 5, except the 8MP front camera compared to 13MP camera in the realme 5 and 5s. Jio Wi-Fi Calling launched across India — Here are the list of supported devices and how to enable it

Reliance Jio has announced the launch of nation-wide Voice and Video over Wi-Fi calling service. Jio said that it has been testing this service over the past few months, to provide a robust experience to every customer at launch. This lets customers can use any Wi-Fi network for Jio, the voice and video calls will seamlessly switch-over between VoLTE and Wi.Fi to provide an enhanced voice/video-calling experience,  Jio Wi-Fi calling works on over 150 handset models and Jio customers can also make Video over Wi•Fi calls. Nokia 6.1 Android 10 update starts rolling out

HMD Global has started rolling out Android 10 update for the Nokia 6.1 smartphone, which makes it the sixth Nokia phone to get the update after the Nokia 8.1 in October, and Nokia 9 PureView and Nokia 7.1 last month, and Nokia 6.1 Plus and Nokia 7 Plus earlier this week. It was launched in 2018 running Android Oreo, and got the Pie update in October 2018. Android 10 brings number of additional privacy and security features for users, as well as Dark Theme, Smart Reply, Focus mode, dedicated ‘Privacy section’, and lots more. Airtel Wi-Fi Calling launched in more circles, now supports more devices, works on non-Airtel broadband connection

Last month Airtel rolled out Voice over Wi-Fi services officially starting from Delhi NCR, later it expanded to Mumbai, Kolkata,Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Today the company has launched Wi-Fi Calling in Kerala, Gujarat, UP (West), Maharashtra, UP (East), Punjab, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh. Previously it was compatible only with Airtel Xstream Fiber home broadband, now it works with all broadband services and Wi-Fi hotspots, even though the site still says it works only on Airtel broadband. Looks like Samsung is gearing up to introduce a new rugged smartphone as the images and Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro (SM-G715F) have surfaced. As usual this should be water resistant to a depth of 1.5m for up to 30 minutes with IP68 certification, dust proof, come with US Military Standard MIL-STD 810G to withstand a fall of up to 1.2 meters and features “Push To Talk” button with support for quick messages. Redmi Note 8 Pro gets a new Twilight Orange color variant

Xiaomi’s Redmi brand launched the Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphone last year in Gamma Green, Halo White and Shadow Black colors, and the Electric Blue version of the phone went on sale later. Today it has introduced new Twilight Orange color variant of the phone in China. It has also introduced Red color version of the Redmi 8 in China, which is already available in India.
