Xiaomi announced the latest iteration of its proprietary Android skin, MIUI 12 in China back in April this year. Which was followed by a global announcement in May. Though the MIUI version upgrade brings various new features and updated UI, the company keeps adding nifty features with updates every now and then. A new feature that has recently made it to the MIUI 12 Global Stable is the ability to adjust the sound for individual apps when multiple apps play audio simultaneously, instead of adjusting the entire system volume.

MIUI 12 brings brand-new Animations, Dark Mode 2.0, and focuses on Privacy and security. Xiaomi today introduced MIUI 12, the company’s next-generation UI for its smartphone at an event in, as it had promised. It brings improved visual effects, new wallpapers, privacy improvements that now shows all sensitive behaviours of an app, Improved Xiaomi ’s AI phone assistant with AI calling and support for dialling, especially helpful for the hearing impaired. Xiaomi has also optimized the motion recording algorithm adding sleep monitoring so that it can record snoring. The company says that it is offline and will not send the recorded data. Xiaomi announced the latest iteration of its own proprietary Android skin MIUI, dubbed MIUI 11 along with Mi 9 Pro 5G, Mi MIX Alpha 5G, and Mi AirDots Pro 2 at an event in China at the end of September, and it was roll out to range of devices starting from October. Today the company has started teasing the MIUI 12, the next major update with a new image. This shows a blue colored gradient on the number ’12’ which hints at even more visual changes.
