After introducing 100W fast charging technology in 2019 and 120W fast charging in Mi 10 Ultra last year, Xiaomi today introduced 200W HyperCharge fast charging technology which is currently the highest ever in a smartphone. The company also posted a video that shows a phone with a 4000mAh battery that takes just 44 seconds for 10% charge, 50% in just 3 minutes and 100% charge takes just 8 minutes.
Xiaomi under its Redmi brand introduced the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G in China a few days back. The company did not reveal any details about the global roll-out of the phone yet. A finding by Mi tipster @kacskrz has revealed POCO X3 GT name, so this could be the same Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G for other markets such as India, Turkey, Indonesia and more. Specifications of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S8 series has surfaced in Korea. This reveals three models —Tab S8, Tab S8+ and Tab S8 Ultra, respectively. All these are said to feature 120 Hz refresh rate screen, and the S8 is said to include an 11-inch LCD screen with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, S8+ with a 12.4-inch Super AMOLED display and the S8 Ultra with a 14.6-inch Super AMOLED screen with up to 92% screen-to-body ratio, thanks to minimal bezels. Xiaomi launched the Redmi K20 smartphone in India on July 17th running MIUI 10.3 Global Stable on top of Android 9.0 (Pie). Qualcomm is said to be gearing up to launch the Snapdragon 888 Plus Mobile Platform, an upgrade to the Snapdragon 888 that was introduced back in December last year. Samsung today introduced the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, the company’s latest Android tablet. It packs an 8.7-inch WXGA+ TFT LCD screen, is powered by an Octa-core SoC which should be an MediaTek Helio P22T SoC paired with up to 4GB RAM, 8MP autofocus rear camera and a 2MP front camera. OPPO today announced Reno6, Reno6 Pro and Reno6 Pro+ smartphones in the Reno6 series in China, as it had promised. The Reno6 has a 6.43-inch flat display and the Reno6 Pro and Reno6 Pro+ feature a 6.55-inch curved display, all with AMOLED panel with 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. OnePlus India has started teasing the launch of new Nord smartphone on Amazon.in after posting a cryptic teaser on its social channels yesterday which said “something new is coming”. The URL of the image confirms it will be a new Nord phone, but company did not confirm the name officially. HMD Global introduced the new C10 and C20 smartphones last month running Android 11 Go Edition with a promise of two years of security updates. Xiaomi has reported its earning for the first quarter (Q1 2020) of 2021 that ended March 31, 2021. It reported revenue of 76.9 billion yuan (US$ 12.03 billion), an increase of 54.7% compared to Q1 2020. Adjusted net profit (Non-IFRS Measure) was 6.1 billion yuan, an increase of 163.8% year-over-year. The company said that both the revenue and adjusted net profit reached record highs in the quarter.
