At a joint screen technology communication conference earlier today, Samsung Display and iQOO officially announced their highest-level technical partnership to date, introducing the “Samsung Display × iQOO Future Display Exploration Plan.”
The initial outcome of this collaboration will debut on the upcoming flagship iQOO 16 smartphone successor to the iQOO 15, scheduled for release at the end of September.
Marketed as the “Samsung Everest” screen, the display marks the Android debut of Samsung’s M16 luminescent material and is the world’s first mobile panel to pair a 2K resolution with a 165Hz refresh rate.
