Telltale Games, the developers of the official Walking Dead game has finally released the Season One of The Walking Dead game for Android. It was released for iOS devices back in July 2012, so it took more than 20 months for the company to bring it to Android. The Walking Dead Season 2 was released for iOS in December. The main problem might be compatibility with all the Android devices. It has also mentioned the minimum and recommended hardware requirements. Facebook has crossed 100 million monthly active users in India which is the second largest country on the social network behind the US. Javier Olivan, VP, Growth & Analytics, Facebook stated in an interview with the Economic Times, that Facebook crossed the landmark on March 31. He also touted that the company is now eyeing for reaching over 1 billion active users in India.

E-Plus, a carrier in Germany entered into a partnership with WhatsApp back in February. The company has launched WhatsApp SIM, a pre-paid SIM card for their users with free WhatsApp access priced at 10 Euros that also comes with 10 Euro balance. It offers an optional WhatsAll plan at 10 Euros with 600 units (1 unit = 1 MB = 1 minute = 1 SMS) for mobile data usage, calls and SMS with 30 days validity. hike, cross-platform messenger got $14M funding from Bharti Softbank (BSB) recently. hike crossed 15 million users in February and has over 80% user base under 25%. It has released new political sticker pack aimed at youth for the general election 2014. The pack includes stickers for Narendra Modi, Rahul Gandhi, Arvind Kejriwal and other generic stickers dedicated to elections. These are co-created with the youth, says hike. Samsung SM-G906S, an unknown devices with a 5.2-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) display has appeared on GFXBench. Samsung SM-G900S with a similar Quad HD display appeared on GFXBench back in December 2013, but Samsung did not release the phone. The SM-G900S had a Snapdragon 800 processor, but the SM-G906S would have a 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor with Adreno 420 GPU. It runs on Android 4.4.2 (KitKat). Vine, the popular video sharing service, has updated its service today, to include direct messaging. The updated service is now being rolled out to iOS and Android devices with an app update on their respective stores. Since launch, Vine has grown into a massive community of video makers, using it mainly for its performance art potential. In the mean time, the community itself started getting personal, with couples vining each other, and viners forming couples, so there obviously was a bit more space for personal communication for Vine as a service, as video messaging has been a long time riddle. We also think that Vine would be happy to know that the service has matured to become part of a particular set of people’s lives, an indication of growth and popularity.

Open Garden, a San Francisco-based company that promotes Net Neutrality released FireChat app for iPhone last week, that lets users chat with nearby users without WiFi, data connection or even cellular network. The app is now available for Android. This uses Open Garden’s mesh networking technology to enable peer-to-peer connections with other nearby Android devices.
