Samsung has updated its ChatON Messaging app to version 3.5 that brings new features including option to share files up to 1GB at a time, recall option to cancel messages sent to wrong person, real-time location sharing and more . Check out the complete change log of the features. Back in September the company announced that ChatON has over 100 million users.
New features in Samsung ChatON 3.5
- Recall messages sent to a friend, even if the receiver has already read them.
- Share real-time location with ChatON buddies for a specified period of time (through the integration with the Glympse application)
- File sharing up to 1GB (5 times per day, in certain countries)
- Group chats limit has been increased from 200 to 1,001
- Improved message integration allows users to manage ChatON and SMS/MMS messages from the same sender in one chat room.
- New languages – Arabic, Turkish, Farsi and Hindi
Even though ChatON is available across Android, iOS, BlackBerry, Windows Phone, feature phones and PC, only the Android app has been updated to the latest version.
