Fossil has announced their new Gen 5E smartwatches that come in two sizes — 42mm and 44mm. These smartwatches are less expensive versions of the Fossil Gen 5 smartwatch that was released last year, sharing many of its features such as fitness tracking, sleep tracking, heart rate monitoring, etc.
Xiaomi just launched Mi Watch Revolve, the company’s latest smartwatch in India at its Smarter Living event. It comes in 46mm version with a 1.3-inch AMOLED screen that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, has 112 different watch faces to choose from. Garmin, popular smart wearables manufacturer, has announced the launch of two new smartwatches in India, the Instinct Solar and fenix 6 Pro Solar. These smartwatches are part of Garmin’s solar-powered smartwatches and feature Pulse Ox, Body Battery, advanced sleep monitoring, stress tracking, etc.
Vivo today announced its Vivo Watch series that come in 42mm and 46mm options with 1.19-inch / 1.39-inch AMOLED display, respectively and supports Always-on display support. The 42mm version has buttons similar to traditional crown, and the 46mm has normal buttons. These have stainless steel case, while a precision ceramic bezel enhances the texture. Huami today announced Amazfit GTR 2 and GTS 2, the company’s latest smartwatches in China, as it had promised. The Amazfit GTR 2 comes with a 1.39-inch 3D curved AMOLED screen with 9H hardness diamond-like coating that is comparable to sapphire, says the company. It has a stainless steel and aluminimum body options for the classic and sports versions, respectively, features two buttons on the right, supports heart rate and blood oxygen monitoring, and its sleep function can also precisely identify sleep stages and naps. When Fitbit introduced their latest Sense health smartwatch last month in India, Fitbit also revealed their new ECG app, capable of taking an on-spot reading of a user’s heart reading at any time. Fitbit has finally received clearance from the USA FDA and CE in the EU for allowing the Fitbit ECG app to assess heart rhythm for atrial fibrillation (AFib).

After rumours, HUAWEI has officially announced the Watch Fit, the company’s latest smartwatch. It features a 1.64-inch HD unique rectangular AMOLED touch screen with auto-brightness adjustment offering better viewing in sunlight and six Always-On watch faces. It offers 50m (5 ATM) water resistance, built-in GPS, heart rate tracking, and up to 10 days of battery life. In addition to 24-Hour Heart Rate Monitoring, it also offers blood oxygen (SpO2) monitoring.

Activity trackers play a major role in India’s wearable market! Among major players, Amazfit has a dominating presence in terms of value for money products. I stand in favour of activity trackers, as it keeps me motivated throughout the day. It makes me push my limits every day and if you, like me, have a fitness regime, activity trackers are great.
With so many showing interests in activity trackers, I share my thoughts about Rs. 3,799-priced successor of a successful entry-level activity tracker watch, the Amazfit Bip Lite. Also, what for they named it Lite when most features are similar to bigger brother!
