Amazfit Bip Review

Huami recently launched the Amazfit BIP in India, it is the same company which manufactures Mi Band series for Xiaomi. Amazfit BIP is company’s cheapest smartwatch under Amazfit range of smartwatches. This is an entry-level smartwatch with always-on reflective color display priced at Rs 5,499, this smartwatch also sports PPG heart rate sensor, GPS sensor, Geomagnetic Sensor, Air Pressure sensor and 3-axis accelerometer for activity, sports and sleep tracking. Amazfit BIP and Stratos smartwatches with multi-sport tracking launched in India starting at Rs. 5499

Huami has launched its Amazfit BIP and Stratos smartwatches in India, as it had promised. Both these have multi-sport tracking, heart rate sensor and have built-in GPS. The  Amazfit BIP promises up to 45 days of battery life, thanks to its 1.28-inch ( 176 x 176 pixels) Always-on display, while the Stratos promises up to 5 days of battery life since it has bigger 1.34-inch (320 X 300 pixels) color Always-on LCD touch screen. Xiaomi Mijia Quartz Watch Hybrid Smartwatch with up to 6 months battery life announced

Xiaomi has introduced new Quartz Watch under its Mijia or Mi Ecosystem. It is a hybrid smartwatch that comes with a standard 40 mm dial that is just 3.2 mm at its thinnest point. The small dial shows step count and connects to Android or iPhone over Bluetooth. Call notification, Reminder and Alarm with vibration. It has a stainless steel case, water-resistant body and a curved back.

Garmin Forerunner 645 Music GPS running watch launched in India for Rs. 39990

Garmin has launched Forerunner 645 Music in India. It was introduced as it’s first smartwatch that lets you store music for offline listening earlier this year at the CES. It can store up to 500 songs so that you can connect a Bluetooth headset and play them when you are working out, without the need of a smartphone. Worldwide smartwatch shipments to hit 43.5 million in 2018 with 34.8% market share: IDC

The worldwide wearables market forecasts an estimate of 124.9 million units by the end of 2018, which is an 8.2% increase from the same time last year. Though the growth is slightly lower than the 10.3% growth experienced in 2017, the market is expected to return to double-digit growth from 2019 until 2022 as smartwatches and other form factors grow according to International Data Corporation (IDC). Garmin vivoactive 3 Music with integrated music, GPS announced

Garmin has introduce vivoactive 3 Music, its new GPS-enabled smartwatch with integrated Music support that lets you store up to 500 songs by downloading offline music playlists from select music streaming services like Deezer (coming soon), iHeartRadio, or transfer music from a computer directly. It has the same fitness features that was introduced with the vivoactive 3 as well as Garmin Pay, contactless payment solution.

ASUS VivoWatch BP with real-time blood pressure monitoring, 28-day battery life announced

ASUS at the Computex 2018 in Taiwan announced VivoWatch BP (HC-A04), the company’s latest smartwatch with built-in ECG and PPG sensors. It also provides  real-time blood pressure measurements in 15 seconds. It features ASUS HealthAI technology to help users keep track of their blood pressure and health stats – such as heart rate, sleep quality, activity data, and de-stress index –- while also providing suggestions for a better lifestyle. Huawei Watch 2 (2018) with 4G eSIM support, Built-in GPS, contactless payment announced

After rumors, Huawei has finally introduced the Watch 2 2018, successor of last year’s Watch 2. Even though the design and specifications are the same, this has support for eSIM instead of a nano SIM in last year’s 4G version of the Watch 2. This lets you call, send and receive messages and use 4G for apps without connecting it to a phone. Watch and phone share a single number similar to the Apple Watch 3. It also comes with dual microphones for improved call quality, but you can also connect it to a Bluetooth headset to make calls.

Huawei patent hints at a smartwatch designed for gaming

According to the listing on World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Huawei has received a patent for a gaming smartwatch. The application was initially filed in December 2017 and follows patents with the Chinese Intellectual Office from 2015 and 2016 for development of the technology.
