AT&T has announced they would sell both the Nokia Lumia 920 and Nokia Lumia 820, Nokia’s latest Windows Phone 8 devices. Both these devices were announced last month at an Event in New York, and the price of these phones were revealed for some European countries last week. The Lumia 920 has a 4.5-inch PureMotion HD+ display, while the 820 comes with a 4.3 inch-inch (800 x 480 pixels) OLED ClearBlack display. Both these phones are powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor and has a 8 megapixel rear-facing camera with 1080p HD video recording. Micromax has launched the Funbook Talk (P350), their new 7-inch tablet in the Funbook series. This tablet has a ear piece for voice calling and has 2G (GPRS) connectivity. Walt Mossberg reported on the Wall Street Journal that Google will soon rolling out Street View to users of the iOS Google Maps web app. With iOS 6, Apple replaced the integrated Google Maps based solution with their homegrown offering which pales in comparison.

Spice Stellar Horizon finally goes on sale in India for Rs. 12499

Spice Stellar Horizon (Mi-500) is finally available in India from online retailer Saholic. Spice unveiled the Stellar Horizon along with the other Android Smartphones, Stellar and Stellar Craze, but it was delayed. It has a 5-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It was supposed to come with a 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, but MediaTek announced that the phone would be powered by their new 1 GHz dual-core MT6577 processor. Nokia Xpress(beta), a cloud optimized browser that saves data & a lot more, now available for Lumia
Nokia has been toying around with a browser that compresses pages on the server side to save data consumption for its S40 range of devices for quite a while now. The Nokia browser, as it was called when it launched, had similar functionality to the Opera Mini web browser, it saved data and made browsing much faster by compressing images and using some server side algorithms for data compression. Now, the same technology is coming to all of Nokia’s Windows Phone devices, the Lumia device range, and it is called Nokia Xpress, but alas, it carries the beta tag, for now.

Motorola pulls out of the lawsuit filed against Apple in August
Motorola had filed a lawsuit against Apple over seven patents in August which if won would ban every device manufactured by Google from iPhone to the iMac. Now reports are that Google owned Motorola is taking a step back and pulling back the lawsuits which they had filed on import ban of Apple products.

MTS launches mAd, lets you make free local calls by watching Video Ads

MTS has launched a new Mobile Advertising Service called mAd. This service would let the customers watch a short video Ad on their device before a call and get free local calling minutes. It doesn’t have any activation charges, application download charges and data transfer charges while viewing video ads. Popular brands such as Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Mentos, Center Fresh, Fiat, Kellogg’s, Titan, Lenovo have partnered with MTS for this service. Zync Z-930 7-inch tablet running Android 4.0 launched for Rs. 5499

Zync has launched the Z-930, their new 7-inch tablet running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Zync has also promised Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update for the tablet. It has a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen display, similar to the Z-900 that was launched earlier this year. Other features include a 1.2 GHz Cortex-A8 processor with Mali-400 GPU, 0.3MP front-facing camera for video calling and 3600 mAh battery. PayMate launches Mobile Kisan Credit Card for Farmers

PayMate has launched Mobile Kisan Credit Card (mKCC), India’s first Mobile Money Credit Delivery solution for farmers. It would let the farmers use their loan amounts in an easier, instant and more efficient manner. It is developed in collaboration with Pallavan Grama Bank, Indian Bank and National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD). Jolla secures €200 million in financing, Sailfish OS to be available for licensing
The much talked about upcoming smartphone manufacturer, Jolla Mobile, comprising of ex-Nokia employees today announced that they have managed to secure 200 million Euros worth of funding. According to the company, “The 200M€ ecosystem financing will come in gradually from Jolla and as members join the alliance, which will include chipset vendors, OEM and ODM manufacturers, operators and retailers.”
Gameloft introduces Duo Gamer; Bluetooth gamepad for iOS devices
Gameloft and Duo Games have partnered to launch an iOS game controller accessory which should facilitate a more console like experience on the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. The controller, called the Duo Gamer, connects over Bluetooth and is equipped with analogue sticks, a D-Pad and six buttons. The controller comes with a handy stand in which you can plug in your iOS device.

HTC One X+ gets priced in UK, coming on October 22

HTC announced the One X+, and upgraded version of the One X with a 4.7 inch (1280 x 720 pixels) Super LCD HD display and 1.7 GHz quad-core Ap37 Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor. UK’s online retailer Clove UK has announced that it is now available for pre-order with them, and it would start shipping on October 22nd. The One X+ comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS with HTC Sense 4+ UI and has Beats audio support. It is 8.9mm thick and weighs 135g. Nokia Belle Feature Pack 2 update brings new Hindi Keyboard

Today most of the Nokia PureView 808, 701, 700 and 603 users started getting Belle Feature Pack 2 update through OTA globally including India. There are lot of new feature in Nokia Belle FP2, but one of the features completely surprised me which is its new keyboard. Most of the 808 users were awaiting for the new improved keyboard with FP2, but I got completely surprised when I found new Hindi QWERTY keyboard as an option along with the English keyboard.
