Aircel to start 4G LTE trial in Chennai by the end of 2013

After the successful Aircel Blog Up event in Delhi on March 15th, Aircel conducted the Aircel Blog Up Chennai edition on 10th May 2013. At the event, K. Sankara Narayanan, Regional Head, Regional Business Head, Aircel Chennai & Tamil Nadu said that they are gearing up to start pilot run for 4G LTE services in Chennai by the end of 2013 or early 2014. Aircel has 20 MHz spectrum on 2300 MHz in 8 circles including Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu (including Chennai), West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Assam, North-East and Jammu & Kashmir. The 8.7 megapixel camera-toting Lumia 925 is almost similar to the Lumia 920 in terms of specifications, but the design, now with the aluminium build has changed a lot. We were at the event live, while the phone was announced, and now, we have got some hands on time with the device. Nokia introduces Smart Camera app on the Lumia 925, coming to Lumia Windows Phone 8 devices

Nokia introduced the Lumia 925 at an event in London just now. At the event Nokia introduced the Smart Camera, a new app that would come pre-loaded on the Lumia 925. Nokia has also announced that the app would also come to select Lumia Windows Phone 8 devices. The Smart Camera lets you shoots a sequence of photos, making it easier to capture great moments, choose your Best Shot or combine the photos into one picture, make a strobe effect to emphasize motion, remove unwanted objects or choose the best faces for great group shots.

Hipstamatic brings Instagram sharing to the Nokia Lumia

We are live from the Nokia Lumia 925 event in London, and Nokia just announced, along with the Lumia 925 that Hipstamatic, a popular photo sharing app on iOS, is coming to Windows Phone and it is going to be one of the first official apps on the Windows phone store that can share directly to your instagram account. The app is called Hipstamatic Oggl and has various filters and a beautiful camera UI, with features you would expect from a photo filters app. This app recently launched in iOS and it is now on Windows Phone already. It has its own community and that’s the term “Oggl” refers to, you can share, like and comment on pictures.

Nokia Lumia 925 with aluminum build announced, coming in June for EUR 469

At an event in London, Nokia has just announced its next Lumia phone. Called the Nokia Lumia 925, it provides the features of the Lumia 920 in a slimmer shell. The phone has a metal band running around the body of the phone. The back plate ships in two colors, silver and grey. Over at the back you can spot an OIS capable camera at the back of the phone with an LED flash.

To build on the camera experience, Nokia has added in a new camera lens that tacks on a range of new features. It can take 10 images at one click for powerful new creative possibilities, such as Best Shot, Action Shot, and Motion Focus. This camera app will be rolled out to the entire Nokia portfolio via an update called the Nokia Lumia Amber update. The phone doesn’t support wireless charging internally but will be compatible with charging covers.

It packs a 3.2-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Xolo has officially launched the Q700, the company’s second quad-core Android smartphone in the Q Core series. Xolo launched the Q800, the company’s first phone with a quad-core processor back in March. The Xolo Q700 surfaced online recently.
