Our good friend Michael Hell might not be blogging actively here but he still loves gadgets and shiny new phones. He brings us this awesome photo gallery of the just announced Google Nexus 5 made by LG which has gone on sale in several countries including Austria where he managed to get one. The Nexus 5 is coming soon to India as well and even the price has been revealed. The packaging looks pretty similar to the one found on the Nexus 7 2013 which seems like the new design language for the new Nexus lineup. Here we are going to take a look at the wonderful white version of the Nexus 5. There is a black version available as well. It will be available in both 16GB and 32GB capacities. The Nexus 5 is the first device to ship with Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
First up is the 4.95 inch Full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Like the previous Nexus phones such as the Nexus 4 and the Galaxy Nexus , the keys are all on screen controls and not physical buttons.
The back of the Nexus 5 has the Nexus branding running across the device along with a small LG logo at the bottom.
The Nexus 5 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quadcore processor running at 2.26 GHz paired with 2GB of RAM. There is support for fast 802.11 ac WiFi networks and also 4G LTE in certain markets. The battery is a sealed 2300 mAh module.
The camera on the rear is a 8MP shooter with Optical Image Stabilization. Seems like a fairly large camera module and there is an LED flash too.
The bottom of the phone has the microUSB port/Slim port for charging and also a couple of speakers. You can also find a notification LED below the display.
On the top you have the 3.5 mm audio jack
On the front of the phone above the display you have the interesting ear-piece at the center and the 1.3MP front facing camera to the left.
On the right side you have the microSIM tray and the power/lock button which is made of ceramic.
There is a nice little SIM ejector tool in the box to help you deal with the microSIM tray.
On the left side you have the volume rocker which is a single button like on the Nexus 4 but it is made of ceramic on the Nexus 5.
Here is the complete photo gallery below for your viewing pleasure. Are you getting the Nexus 5 ?
