Zync has officially launched the Zync Cloud Z5 Dual SIM Android Phablet. Zync launched several tablets starting with the Z-900 in March, but this is their first Smartphone / Phablet. It went on sale online yesterday and has a 5-inch (800 x 480 Pixels) Capacitive Touch Screen and is powered by a 1GHz processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and features a 8MP auto focus camera at the back and a 0.3MP front-facing camera. Samsung Galaxy Premier with 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED display, Android 4.1 announced

Samsung has announced Galaxy Premier their new Android phone in the Galaxy series. This comes with a 4.65-inch (720 x 1280 pixels)HD Super AMOLED display and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor. It runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and has a 8MP auto focus camera at the back with LED Flash and a 1.9-megapixel HD front-facing camera. It would have Samsung’s unique features such as S Beam, Buddy photo share, AllShare Cast, AllShare Play, Smart Stay, Direct Call, Social Tag, Pop-up play, Best Photo and S Voice. ARM unveils Cortex A53 and A57 64-bit Processors for Smartphones and Tablets

ARM has announced Cortex A53 and A57 in the Cortex A50 series based on ARMv8 architecture. These energy-efficient processors with 64-bit processing technology are also fully compatible with the extensive ARM 32-bit ARMv7 ecosystem. These processors would offer better performance compared to the existing ones and would offer new features ranging from gesture control, augmented reality, mobile gaming, web 2.0 and more. HTC 8X and 8S Windows Phone 8 devices launching in India next week

HTC has announced on the their Facebook page that they would launch the Windows Phone 8 devices in India next week. HTC announced the 8X and 8S Windows Phone 8 devices in September, and the phones were in coming soon list in HTC India page since then. These devices are powered by a dual-core processor Snapdragon S4 processor. Nokia would also launch their Windows Phone 8 devices, Lumia 920 and 820 in India in November. Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite Tablet now available in India for Rs. 13700

Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite that was announced back is August is now available in India from online retailer Flipkart. It has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) IPS multi-touch display and is powered by a 1.2GHz Cortex A8 processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), and 3G support with voice calling, SMS and MMS. It has a 3.2 Megapixel rear camera and a 0.3 MP front-facing camera for video calling. Zync Z5 Dual SIM phone with 5-inch display, Android 4.0 now available for Rs. 9490

Zync has entered into the smartphone segment with the Zync Cloud Z5 Dual SIM Android Smartphone / Phablet. It has a 5-inch (800 x 480 Pixels) Capacitive Touch Screen and is powered by a 1GHz processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). This would compete with the other budget 5-inch Dual SIM Smartphones such as iBall Andi 5c and the latest Micromax A110. The company launched the Z-900 their first 7-inch tablet running Android 4.0 back in March, and has launched several tablets since then. Microsoft unveils Windows Phone 8

Microsoft has officially unveiled the Windows Phone 8 at an event in San Francisco as they announced earlier this month. They announced the Windows Phone 8 back in June, but at the yesterday’s launch event they demoed several features including new features such as Kid’s Corner, Rooms in People’s Hub and automatic image uploads from the phone’s camera. Airtel starts taking Pre-Orders for iPhone 5 in India, priced at Rs.45500 for 16GB

Airtel which is one of the leading mobile operators in India has started taking Pre-Orders for the Apple iPhone 5 on its website. Airtel is promoting the iPhone 5 on its homepage and has requested interested customers to pre-order the device. The date of availability is mentioned as November 11th 2012 which is a good 10 days later than the previous November 2nd date we have been hearing from distributors.The prices seem to be exactly the same as what we had heard prior to this.

We just told you few hours back that the iPhone 5 was coming to India on November 2nd and also told about the prices at which the iPhone 5 will be selling for in India starting from Rs.45500 for the 16GB model.And now as expected Aircel has starting teasing the iPhone 5 on it’s website. The operator has a coming soon banner for the iPhone 5 on its homepage.Aircel along with Airtel were the official launch partners for the iPhone 4S in India last year.This year though Apple has appointed 2 distributors Ingram Micro and Redington for selling the iPhone 5 in India

Apple iPhone 5 Prices for India surface, starts at Rs.45500

Looks like Apple is gearing up to launch the iPhone 5 in India soon. Multiple retailers have started to announce the prices for the latest iPhone.The iPhone 5 might start retailing at Rs.45,500 for the 16GB model. Both White and Black versions of the phone are expected to go on sale. But still stocks are extremely limited considering the global demand for the device. Apple had reportedly appointed Ingram Micro and Redington as distributors for the iPhone 5. This was partially confirmed today as we got a press release from Ingram Micro about the same indicating a November 2nd release and now there is a link to a webpage containing the Redington logo which has popped up.

Samsung reports profit of $7.4 billion for Q3 2012

Samsung has reported operating profit of 8.12 trillion won ($7.4 billion) for the third quarter of 2012. That’s a 91% year-on-year increase . The net profit was 6.56 trillion won. The Mobile unit accounted for more than 50% of revenue with 26.25 trillion in this quarter, 82% increase year-on-year. The increase in profit in this segment is due to the increase in Smartphone shipments significantly due to global expansion of Galaxy S 3 and and mid or low-end products in competitive price points.
