WhatsApp is finally available for the JioPhone that is powered by KaiOS. At the annual AGM back in July, Reliance Jio chairman said that YouTube, WhatsApp and an improved Facebook app will be available for JioPhone from 15th August. After a month’s delay, WhatsApp is now available. The app has been built specially for Jio KaiOS, a web based operating system designed for JioPhone, so that its users get the best experience.

Xiaomi launched Redmi Y2 running MIUI 9.5 based on Android Oreo back in June, in the same event company also announced MIUI 10. Xiaomi started rolling out MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM in mid-June but said that stable roll out will start in September. After the box of the OnePlus 6T, the company’s upcoming flagship smartphone surfaced revealing an in-display fingerprint sensor and a waterdrop notch, now in an e-mail to CNET the company confirmed that it will feature an in-display fingerprint scanner. It also said that it originally intended to introduce the technology on the OnePlus 5T, but it did not do since the technology wasn’t mature enough to meet the company’s standards for delivering a fast and smooth user experience, so it had to wait for an year. After the phone got certified by TENAA, Huawei has officially confirmed that the Maimang 7 smartphone will be introduced in China on September 12th. It was introduced in UK as Mate 20 Lite in UK a couple of weeks back and has dual front and rear cameras with AI feature than can recognise over 500 scenarios in 22 categories, 480 fps Super Slow Motion, HDR Pro, Studio Lighting and 3D Qmoji.
Social media and micro-blogging service Twitter has launched a new service that let users create audio-only broadcast directly from Twitter itself, as well as Twitter’s Periscope. Hathway today launched its 300Mbps home broadband plan for Chennai customers at an event. The company also launched its Edge WiFi Mesh solution in partnership with TP-Link that is available for free as part of the service for the first time in India. Hathway already offers 200 Mbps broadband at Rs. 1049 per month with 1TB FUP in Chennai. The new plan offers 2TB FUP per month and costs as low as Rs. 1250 per month if you get 12 months plan at Rs. 14,999. 6-month plan costs Rs. 9999.

Motorola has launched Moto G6 Plus smartphone, months after it was introduced back in April, as it had promised. It has a large 5.93-inch Full HD+ Max Vision display, is powered by Snapdragon 630 with 6GB of RAM, has a 12-megapixel rear camera along with a secondary 5-megapixel camera for portrait shots and a 16-megapixel front camera with LED flash and and 4MP adaptive low light mode.
Apple is gearing up to introduced its next-generation iPhone at an event in a couple of days, now the name of the smartphones and their pricing have surfaced in China. The 6.5-inch OLED iPhone and the 5.8-inch OLED iPhone are said to called the iPhone XS Plus and the iPhone XS, respectively. The cheaper 6.1-inch LCD model is said to be called the iPhone XC. All the iPhones are said to feature a notch, Face ID with gesture-based control system and new A12 processor. Razer announced the Razer Phone back in November last year.
