Hathway launches 300Mbps broadband with 2TB data, free WiFi Mesh solution starting from Chennai


Hathway today launched its 300Mbps home broadband plan for Chennai customers at an event. The company also launched its Edge WiFi Mesh solution in partnership with TP-Link that is available for free as part of the service for the first time in India. Hathway already offers 200 Mbps broadband at Rs. 1049 per month with 1TB FUP in Chennai. The new plan offers 2TB FUP per month and costs as low as Rs. 1250 per month if you get 12 months plan at Rs. 14,999. 6-month plan costs Rs. 9999.

The TP-Link Deco M5 mesh WiFi covers the entire home throughout an area of 3000 to 4000 square feet, promising whole-home connectivity, even in large old brick multi-story house that has plaster walls. The units cover every nook and corner of house with reliable and consistent Wi-Fi including basement, cellar, first floor, second floor.

It automatically optimizes the band and path for each device. You can also adjust the priority of devices and activities. Internet speed and usage can be monitored, by user and device. You can get monthly reports on usage and content, blocked content, and security threats.

The new 300Mbps plan is available in Chennai from today, September 10th and will roll out gradually in other metros starting from December 1st.
