Instagram introduces new emoji shortcut for comments

Instagram has been adding lots of new features lately in a bid to keep up with the trend. Facebook-owned Instagram has added personalized emoji shortcuts to its app, where the most used emoji will be placed on the top of the keyboard when you begin to type the post.

This new feature has been rolled out on Thursday on both Android and iOS platform. However, this feature works only on the comments section and not on others like stories or captioning your own posts.

Recently, Instagram is trying new things to keep their app relevant and in a profitable position. The company is reportedly working on a new standalone app for shopping. Expected to be called as ‘IG Shopping’, this app lets the users select product from the page or merchant they follow and purchase them directly from the app itself.

Last week it introduced Parent’s Guide, a new resource for parents with teens who use Instagram. With this guide, the company focuses on three things — how to manage privacy, interactions and time on Instagram. In addition to it, the company has introduced music in stories, where users can add a soundtrack to your story that you feel fits perfectly at any moment.
