Swiggy Go pick-up and drop service launched

Swiggy has launched ‘Swiggy Go’ a new pick-up and drop service that lets you ask for almost anything to be picked up and dropped off. “Forgot your house keys at work? Left your dabba at home? Need your clothes picked up from the tailor’s? Or got an important document to courier? Whatever the task at hand, make Swiggy Go!” says the company. Google-backed Dunzo already offers such services in several cities.

Swiggy Go is currently available in Bengaluru and will be rolled out to over 300 cities over the next one year. Swiggy Go feature is already live on the Swiggy app for update your Swiggy app to the latest version.

Regarding the new services, Swiggy said:

Infinix just launched Hot 8, the company’s latest budget smartphone in India. It has 6.52-inch HD+ mini drop notch with 2.5mm narrow bezel on the top and 1.9mm narrow on the side promising 90.3% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by MediaTek Helio P22 12nm SoC with 4GB of RAM, runs Android 9.0 (Pie) with XOS 5.0, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with quad LED flash, along with a 2-megapixel secondary camera for portrait shots as well as a dedicated Low-light Sensor. It has an 8-megapixel camera on the front with LED flash and face unlock.

Redmi K20 Pro Android 10 MIUI update rolling out to testers in India and China

Google released Android 10 for its Pixel phones and the Essential Phone also got the update. Xiaomi started recruitment for Android 10 based MIUI 10 testing last week in India, now the company has started rolling out the update to testers in India and China. Even though some say that it’s available for all the users, Mi Community Manager has confirmed that it’s available only for the testers.

Samsung Exynos 980 8nm SoC with integrated 5G modem for up to 2.55Gbps download speeds, up to 108MP camera support announced

Samsung has announced Exynos 980, the company’s first processor with built-in 5G modem. It is based on 8-nanometer (nm) FinFET process technology, compared to 7nm EUV (extreme ultra violet) lithography processing technology in the Exynos 9825 processor that powers the Galaxy Note 10 series. It has two high performing ARM Cortex-A77 cores and six efficient Cortex-A55 cores and ARM Mali-G76 MP5 GPU. The modem also supports E-UTRA-NR Dual Connectivity (EN-DC), which combines 2CC LTE and 5G connectivity, to maximize mobile downlink speed up to 3.55Gbps. In addition, it is a multi-mode modem that utilizes major networks from 2G to 4G LTE for reliable mobility anywhere.

USB4 Specification confirmed — Based on Thunderbolt, offers 40 Gbps speed

USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) has published USB4 specification, a major update to USB 3.2, after it was announced. The USB4 architecture is based on the Thunderbolt protocol specification recently contributed by Intel Corporation to the USB Promoter Group. The group also has Apple Inc., Hewlett-Packard Inc., Microsoft Corporation, Renesas Corporation, STMicroelectronics, and Texas Instruments, in addition to Intel. USB4 doubles the maximum aggregate bandwidth of USB and enables multiple simultaneous data and display protocols.
