Samsung today launched Galaxy J7 Pro and Galaxy J7 Max, two new mid-range smartphones in the ‘Galaxy J7’ 2017 series in India. The Galaxy J7 Pro is the same Galaxy J7 (2017) smartphone that was introduced last week packing a 5.5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, while the larger Galaxy J7 Max comes with a 5.7-inch 1080p display. These have Samsung Pay (Samsung Pay Mini on J7 Max for UPI and Mobile Wallet Payments), making them the first mid-range smartphones to support Samsung Pay. Intel to invest $178 million in India for R&D innovation

Intel has announced an investment of US$178 million in India to expand its R&D presence and build a new design house at Intel’s 44-acre campus on Sarjapur Ring Road (SRR) in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Intel India is Intel’s largest design center outside the U.S.

Amazon to soon get government approval for FDI in food retail

Food Processing Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal stated that the government will soon clear Amazon’s proposed $500 million investment in food retail in India, as per a latest PTI report. Google just launched its Daydream View VR headset in India. This lets users experience sports, live events and more in full 360° panoramic view. Indian users can also watch shows and movies, distraction-free, on the headset. DayDream VR is compatible with Pixel, Pixel XL and Moto Z smartphones and will support Galaxy S8 and S8+ soon.
