Samsung India is launching the Galaxy Tab in India today and has not revealed the price of the device so far . Now a landing page on the Samsung India’s website takes us to online retailer LetsBuy who’s quoting a price of Rs.38000/- for the Galaxy Tab. Samsung Galaxy Tab India Launch this Friday and FoneArena will be there !

Samsung India just sent us an invite for an event in Delhi on Friday. While the product name is not mentioned anywhere, we are pretty sure that it’s the Galaxy Tab and nothing else as the word Tab is present in the invite.

Nokia X5 Price in India – Rs.9999

When Nokia launched the X5-01 [specs] in Singapore this June , they did not have any plans to bring it to India. But looks like they have decided to bring the phone to India. The Commuter – Short film shot just with a Nokia N8

Yesterday I was invited to the premiere of The Commuter at Aqua Nueve, in Soho London. The short film stars Dev Patel (Slumdog Millionaire), Pamela Anderson, Ed Westwick and Charles Dance, and is directed by the McHenry Brothers. The premiere was attended by Charles Dance, Pamela Anderson, Peta’s Dan Matthews and Jermaine Jackson of the Jackson 5.

The Nokia N8 – through @3dmg’s Camera!

Let me introduce you to Markus Gassenbauer. Markus is a very good friend of mine, hobby photographer (far more advanced than me) and interested in all kinds of Tech. We meet up every now and then for some tech talk and although he has an addiction to Android, Markus also likes Nokia. He was one of the lucky Guys to get invited to one of the Nokia N8 Demo evenings with me and was very surprised of how well it works. Although he doesn’t blog anywhere, he voices his Opinions on Twitter, where you can follow him as @3dmg. Last Sunday was one of the days where i met Markus again, to have a closer look at my orange Nokia N8. Symbian Foundation to be shut down soon ?

According to a report by Register , the Symbian Foundation might be shut down soon. The Symbian Foundation is a non-profit body which “provides ,manages and unifies the Symbian platform for download and development.” In short, the foundation acts as an enabler but does not develop the platform themselves.Since Nokia is the only major manufacturer to still support Symbian, the importance of this separate entity  seems to fade away.
