Samsung invests 70 million USD in Noida Mobile Manufacturing Facility

Samsung Electronics has just made an announcement that it’s investing USD 70 million  in the Noida mobile manufacturing facility. Seems like India is one of the top 3 mobile markets for Samsung globally.This facility in Noida is Samsung’s 6th manufacturing unit outside Korea and employs over 4000 people. This facility in Noida is also capable of handling TVs , Refrigerators , ACs and Washing Machines in addition to mobile phones. Surprisingly Samsung also has a manufacturing facility in Sriperumbudur , Chennai where Nokia also has a pretty big factory. Press Release after the break .

Exclusive : Micromax A85 Photo

An Anonymous tipster just sent us this image of the rumoured Micromax A85 which is expected to be Micromax’s first high-end device. The device is the photo we received looks much more attractive than the one we saw in the earlier leak. As excepted , it is running on Android and expected to be powered by a 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 CPU and support HSDPA and WiFi networks.

AT&T To Offer Three New Windows Phone Mango Devices In Q4 2011

AT&T recently announced that the company will offer 3 new smartphones running on the new Windows Phone 7.5 OS, code-named as “Mango”. The new phones are Samsung Focus S, HTC Titan and Samsung Focus Flash.

AT&T currently offers 4 smartphones based on the Windows Phone 7 Operating System – HTC HD7S, HTC Surround, LG Quantum and Samsung Focus. AT&T recently announced that, the company will offer 3 new smartphones running on the new Windows Phone 7.5 OS, code-named as “Mango”. Vodafone Blue – Facebook phone launched in India at Rs. 5000

Vodafone has launched their Facebook phone, Vodafone Blue in India. This phone is developed in collaboration with Facebook that has the qualities of a smartphone and social networking functions. The phone was announced in UK this July. This phone has dedicated F button that lets the user upload pictures, visit profiles and update status at a single click. Philips Xenium X806 Dual SIM Phone launching in India on Sep 7

Heard of Philips Mobile Phones ? They were available quite a while ago and we have not heard from them in a while now. The Xenium range of phones are popular in Europe and Russia for their exceptional battery life. Looks like the company is making a comeback into India or at least testing the waters again as we got an invited to a launch event happening on September 7th.Interestingly the invite comes from Conplex Telecom India. Samsung Galaxy Note Specs – 5.3 inch display and 1.4 GHz Dual Core CPU !



Samsung just sent a chill down our spine by launching the Samsung Galaxy Note- an Android Phone with a 5.3 inch display ! If you thought the Galaxy S2 had a big display ? Get ready for a bigger display. I’m not sure how many of us can grip a 5.3 inch phone in one hand ! The specs seem pretty impressive with a 1.4 GHz Dual Core Processor , 5.3 inch HD SuperAMOLED Plus display (1280×960 pixels resolution) and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread.  There is a 8MP camera on the back and a 2MP camera on the front. It weighs 100grams and  is 12.3mm thick. And it comes with a pen called S Pen so that you can scribble on the mini football ground in your hands ! Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 Revealed in Photos

The folks at SammyHub have posted the first photos of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 which seems like a 7.7 inch Android  Honeycomb tablet. From what we can see , it runs on Android Honeycomb , sports a 7.7 inch display with no physical menu keys and includes a 3.5 mm audio jack on the top. Photo Sharing through NFC in Nokia Symbian Belle Phones

We had the chance to check out the NFC feature in the newly announced Symbian Belle Phones. You can transfer photos from one phone to another by merely tapping the phones together.  Watch the video below to see the technology in action. In the first part of the video a photo is clicked with a Nokia 600 and is sent to another device via NFC or Near Field Communication.  In the second part a wallpaper is shared in a similar fashion.

Samsung finally launched the much-awaited Galaxy S II in the US. The AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint version of the Galaxy S II is called as AT&T Galaxy S II, T-Mobile Galaxy S II and Samsung Epic 4G Touch respectively.

Samsung Galaxy S II is already available in most of the European and Asian countries from the last 3 months, but the customers in the US were left behind. This handset was announced and showcased at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2011 in Barcelona.
