HTC is all set to launch it’s 3D smartphone the EVO 3D in India today at a price close to Rs.35000 undercutting the LG Optimus 3D which was launched last week for Rs.37000. We had a chance to play with the EVO 3D and the hardware felt impressive and has a 2D/3D camera toggle key.This is the 2nd glasses-free 3D phone to be launched in India. The BlackBerry Torch 2 (9810) has been launched in India within a month of the official launch in UK. The launch of the BlackBerry 9810 comes close on the heels of the Bold 9900 launch. The 9810 is the successor to the Torch 9800 and packs a 1.2 GHz processor and runs on the new BlackBerry OS 7. The Torch 2 is priced at Rs.29990 , slightly lower than the Bold 9900.

Meet the Nokia 700 which is one of the sexiest smartphones we have come across in recent times.We fell in love with the form factor and screen instantly. Nokia is claiming it is the smallest smartphone.The AMOLED display is a treat to use and the UI was fluid due to the 1GHz processor and the Symbian Belle OS.Take a look at the photos below and feel free to shoot any questions about the phone.
Nokia announced the 701 along with the 600 and 700 at the event in Hong Kong. We got our hands on the Nokia 701 and it is certainly a well designed phone taking cues from the C7. Just when everyone was thinking , Symbian has reached it’s end Nokia surprised us by launching 3 new Symbian phones running the newest version of Symbian – Belle and packing other interesting goodies such as a 1GHz Processor and NFC ( Near Field Communication ). We got our hands on the most affordable phone of the trio – the Nokia 600 which is also supposed to be the loudest smartphone from Nokia so far. Take a look at the pics below. Back in 2005 , Sony Ericsson launched a line of Walkman branded cellphones. The W550i and W800i were to make up for the shrinking market share of Sony’s Walkman line of music players.
Extremely popular and bundled with great earphones , the Walkman series of phones became well known for their superior audio quality. Fast forward to 2011 and we finally have our first smartphone as part of the Walkman series. So far the Samsung Galaxy S II has been enjoying incredible sales and with the white version coming soon, the numbers are only set to increase. But even the white one is expected to come in 16GB version. The 32GB version that was promised during the announcement is still unavailable.
An LG spokesman announced that LG has done very well globally as well as in Korea. The LG has managed to sell over 120,000 units of the Optimus 3D since its launch last month on the SK Telecom network.

The rumoured Motorola Defy+ which is the successor to the original Defy is finally official close on the heels of the Google to acquire Motorola Mobility announcement . The Defy Plus retains the glory of it’s ancestor and is Water Resistant, Scratch Resistant and Dust Proof. We are not totally sure what extent of abuse this phone can handle. Our very own Jon had the pleasure of dipping the the old Defy in a glass of water and it did function properly afterwards. In terms of specs it is powered by a 1GHz CPU and runs on Android 2.3 and runs on a 1700 mAh battery. The 3.7 inch display is made of scratch resistant Gorilla Glass.You can find the full specs below. As you can see there are minor improvements in terms of specs but we wish Motorola promoted this phone in a better way at least in countries where it rains a lot !
