iPhone 5 to Launch in India and Malaysia on Coming October 26?
BGR.in reports that Apple is planning to launch the iPhone 5 in India on October 26th. This isn’t the first time an October 26 launch in Asia has been mentioned. Last month, The Malay Mail reported that the iPhone 5 would be coming to Malaysia on that date, pending stock availability. There is no concrete word about the pricing yet but multiple sources FoneArena spoke to indicate a pricing of around Rs.48500-52500 approximately for the 16GB iPhone 5. S Huawei Ascend Y100 now available in India for Rs. 5990
Huawei has launched the Y100, their new entry-level Android smartphone in India in partnership with Spice, hence it called S Huawei Y100. It has a 2.8-inch (320 × 240 pixels) TFT Capacitave touch screen display and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It is powered by a 800MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and has a 3.2MP fixed-focus camera at the back. The Huawei Ascend Y100 was announced back in May for select countries. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Benchmarks – quad-core Exynos CPU and Mali-400 GPU
Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 2, successor of the Galaxy Note in India last week, and we managed to get hold of the device to run some benchmarks. These benchmarks test the performance of the 1.6 GHz quad-core 4412 Exynos processor with Mali 400 GPU. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 topped in most of the benchmarks when compared to the other quad-core devices such as Samsung Galaxy S3, HTC One X and the LG Optimus 4X HD. Apple has just announced in a press release that they have just managed to sell 5 million iPhone 5’s in just the opening weekend.Although pre-ordering did start on September 14, the device did not land in the hands of consumers till September 21. The bigger number hidden in the press release is the fact that 100 million iOS device have already upgraded to iOS 6 which is the latest operating system for Apple iPhone , iPad and iPod Touch. The OS update was made available only on September 19th and it is amazing have so many devices have moved to the latest version of the operating system which is surrounded by controversy regarding the quality of maps. iOS 6 marks the first time , Apple has gotten rid of Google Maps in favor of it’s in-house mapping application

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Pre-Booking starts in India
Samsung has just started Pre-Booking for the much awaited Galaxy Note 2 on it’s India eStore. The device which is the successor to the original Note was unveiled last month at IFA Berlin along with the Galaxy Camera. The phone has a 5.5 inch display and runs Android JellyBean out of the box. Samsung is asking for Rs.5000 as an advance payment for the pre-booking which will be adjusted when the device goes on sale later this month. Apple iPhone 5 Launch Countries and Rollout
Apple will be launching the iPhone on September 21 in 9 countries – Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, the US and the UK. Apple will begin taking pre-orders in these countries this Friday September 14. Interestingly UK, Singapore and Hong Kong are countries in which Apple sells iPhones at the full price and mostly unlocked. If you plan to be one of the 1st to own the iPhone 5 and live outside the US, may be you should ping your friends in these 3 countries or may be take an iVacation. Unlocked Apple iPhone 5 Prices for UK Revealed
While Apple has revealed only the Contract-only pricing for the Apple iPhone 5 in the US, the company is going to sell unlocked versions of the iPhone 5 at launch in the UK. Interestingly the base model starts from 529 pounds an increase of 30 pounds compared to the iPhone 4S. One point to note is that the price includes a 20% VAT or Sales Tax. If you were thinking of getting the iPhone 5 from UK , 529 GBP at current pound levels is about Rs.47000 approx in terms of the Indian Rupee. 4G LTE Speed Test on EE featuring the Galaxy S3 LTE and Ascend P1 LTE
Today’s announcement by EE on the arrival of 4G LTE in the UK heralds a new era in this Britain’s telecommunication industry. It’s been a long time waiting, and judging by the initial hands on demonstration, it seems that it will be worth the wait.
Huawei’s Ascend P1 and the Samsung Galaxy S3 were two of the few handsets on display at the EE press conference today. Initial speed test shows that the devices were capable of achieving and maintaining 25+Mbps download and 12+Mbps upload speed, a fair upgrade over T-Mobile’s current 3G network.
No price plans has been announced yet. The rollout of EE’s 4G LTE network will begin this year and they aim to cover 1/3rd of the population by the end of the year.

At IFA2012 Samsung Mobile announced four more colours for Samsung Galaxy SIII, mainly Garnet Red, Sapphire Black, Amber Brown and Titanium Gray. Samsung Mobile India has launched Garnet Red version of Galaxy SIII (16GB) in India on Samsung e-store. It is now also available in Samsung premium and flagship stores as well local stores in India. The MRP of Garnet Red SIII is same as other 16GB variants which is Rs.42,500 and it’s retail price is around Rs. 37,500. Similar to blue and white, this variant has its packaging in Red. Nokia Lumia 920 with PureView Press Image Leaked
This might be the Nokia Lumia 920 , the first Nokia Windows Phone to run on Windows Phone 8 and feature PureView Camera technology. When Nokia launched the PureView 808 running on Symbian earlier this year, it was not clear why Nokia would launch a Symbian phone with latest camera technology in 2012 when it’s primary focus was on Windows Phone . Looks like we should be seeing a Nokia Windows Phone with PureView Camera technology soon.The leak talks about a 4.5 inch Lumia 920 and we can see Carl Zeiss branding on the back . The lens and flash arrangement seems similar to the Nokia N9 and Lumia 900 and slightly different from the Lumia 800.The phone will mostly run on Microsoft Windows Phone 8. The same source which posted some photos of HTC’s upcoming tablet has now shared purported pictures of 2 upcoming Nokia Lumia smartphones. The image above points to Nokia Lumia 820 with a 4.3 inch screen. The handset seems to carry multiple colours ranging from the usual black and white to yellow, red, grey,blue and violet.
