Huawei Ascend D2 caught in the wild, to be showcased at CES

Huawei had announced its first quadcore device, the Ascend D Quad last year at MWC, now its successor the D2 which is also a quadcore device, will be showcased at CES.

The Ascend D2 boasts a 5″ full HD display with a 1.5 GHz quadcore processor. And mostly this will be a in-house built Huawei processor, in the Ascend D2. The SoC would probably be HiSilicon K3V2; 40nm, 16-core GPU, 64-bit memory, but we are yet to see whether they will be making use of the same SoC or they have been manufacturing a better one. Other than these features, it will be coming with a 13 megapixel camera and a whopping 3000 mAh battery out of the box. Now that’s amazing. It is said to be running on Android 4.1, but by the time it launches it may vary. Huawei is is also preparing to showcase a 6.1″ tablet at CES, so they have a good number of devices to keep people entertained this time at CES.
