Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few days, its been hard to miss the buzz around Heartbleed, the latest and greatest vulnerability to hit the internet. The flaw in OpenSSL is said to affect close to two thirds of the internet and could allow theft of data protected by SSL/TLS encryption. In short, all your passwords could be easily accessible. Most of the sites that you’re likely to frequent and most devices that you use have since been patched to get around Heartbleed, all except one. Salora PowerMaxx gets the Android 4.1.2 JellyBean update

Remember the Salora PowerMaxx Android smartphone with a huge 3200 mAH battery? It was launched a couple of months back at a price of Rs. 15,999 and it ran Android 4.0 ICS. Just two months after release, it is receiving the Jellybean update from the company, promising to start the roll out from March 15th, which is today. So, the JellyBean update brings new features including Project Butter and Google now to the device, along with several improvements in performance and stability.

Huawei Ascend D2 announced at CES, 5 inch 1080p 1.5 GHz Quad core Android Jellybean

 

We have seen the leaks and we definitely saw this coming. Yes, Huawei has unveiled the new Ascend D2 and Ascend Mate at CES today, at their press conference. It has a 5 inch full HD 1080p screen, which means that it will join the ranks of HTC’s J Butterfly and many more Android devices to come this year. The phone sports a 1.5 GHz Quad core in house K3V3 processor and runs on Android Jellybean. The battery is rated at 3000 mAH and the device sports a 13 megapixel rear camera.
