Earlier this year, Mozilla announced that it will reduce the amount of notification permission prompts that users are seeing on a daily basis. Today the company has announced that Firefox 72 that will be released next year will restrict notification permission prompts by default and this comes as a result of a series of studies and experiments conducted by the company.
Google has started rolling out new over-the-air (OTA) update for Pixel devices and also posted factory images as part of monthly Android Security release for November. Pixel and Pixel XL phones will not get security patches starting this month since the phone has completed 3 years. Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO launched the POCO F1 smartphone in India back in August 2018 running MIUI 9.6 Global Stable on top of Android 8.1 (Oreo) and later updated it to Android 9.0 in December 2018. OnePlus has started rolling out OxygenOS 10.0.4 update for the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro smartphones. The update brings 50GB free storage in gallery for India. You can claim the free storage once per account, and is valid for 1 year for the day you claim it, said the company. This was announced at the launch event of the phone. The update also brings several optimizations, including improvements to overall communication performance and improve front camera low-light performance. LG started beta testing for G8 ThinQ in Korea back in May. Today the company has confirmed that it will roll out stable Android 10 update for the phone this month starting from Korea. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro was amongst best-selling devices last year, Xiaomi launched it running on Android Nougat, and was updated to Android 8.1 (Oreo) in June 2018. The company rolled out Android 9.0 (Pie) update to the smartphone back in May this year, the device is almost 18 months old and has already received two Android updates. HMD Global already confirmed Android 10 update for its Nokia smartphones that were launched last year and this year. After Android 10 (Go edition) was announced by Google this week, HMD Global has confirmed the roll out details for its entry-level phones. Since OnePlus started rolling out Android 10 stable update for the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro smartphones last week, it was given that the OnePlus 7T will run Android 10.
