Firefox browser for Android has been updated to version 20. This version brings better private browsing and Per-tab private browsing lets you switch between private and standard tabs within the same browsing session. You can also without closing or changing your current browsing session. This version also brings support for Android devices with 384MB of RAM and QVGA displays. The Samsung Galaxy Win (GT-I8552) that surfaced recently has gone official in China. It is listed on the Samsung China’s official website. All the specifications matches the leaked specs. It has a 4.7-inch (800 x 480 Pixels) TFT display, run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) with Touchwiz and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. It has a 5MP Auto Focus Camera with LED Flash and a 0.3MP (VGA) front-facing camera.  It has dual SIM support with dual standby and dual SIM Always On feature. LG Optimus G Pro (L-04E) goes on sale in Japan

LG has announced that the LG Optimus G Pro (L-04E) is now on sale in Japan from NTT Docomo. It was announced earlier this year as the part of NTT Docomo’s Spring lineup in the docomo NEXT series. It packs a 5-inch (1920×1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display, powered by 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor with Adreno 320 GPU and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). The Japanese variant is smaller than the International version that was unveiled in February. Twitter updates its mobile apps, Android version goes HOLO

Twitter, the world’s only realtime social network has updated its mobile apps today. It includes a major update for Android and minor updates for Twitter for iPhone and the mobile web app. The main improvement of the Android app is that it has finally went HOLO, the design language that Google has been preaching to third party devs since 4.0 ICS, with blessings from lead designer Matias Duarte. Minor improvements to all the apps is that they get improved cards support with deep linked app links inside the details page.

Samsung Galaxy Win  (GT-I8552) press images and specifications have surfaced on a Vietnamese retail site mainguyen. The features of the are slightly better than the Galaxy S2 Plus that went on sale in India recently. It is expected to come with a 4.7-inch (800 x 480 Pixels) Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touch screen display and run on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) with Touchwiz UI and Nature UX. The site listing says that it would be powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 chip with Adreno 203 GPU, but the Vietnamese site tinhte.vn speculates that it might feature a Snapdragon 200 processor. Asus Transformer Pad Infinity Android 4.2 update starts rolling out

Asus has announced that the Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OTA (over-the-air) update v 10.6.1.14.4 for the Transformer Pad Infinity TF700T would start roll out starting from today.  The Asus Transformer Pad Infinity was announced last year at MWC with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It received the Android 4.1 update last year, and promised the Android 4.2 update for the TF700T in Q2 2013 last month . The Asus Transformer Pad TF300 was the first non-Nexus tablet to receive the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update, which rolled out last month. Samsung has announced Galaxy Pocket Neo and Galaxy Star, two new Android smartphones in the Galaxy series. The Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo is the upgraded version of the last year’s Galaxy Pocket and the Galaxy Star is a budget phone with 2G EDGE support. Both these phones have a 3-inch (320 x 240 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and has a 2-megapixel rear camera. The Galaxy Pocket Neo is powered by a 850 MHz processor and the Galaxy Star has a 1 GHz processor. Both these phones would come in Dual SIM variants with Always On feature that would forward calls to the other SIM, depending on the market.

Videocon has officially launched the VT75C, the company’s latest budget tablet with 2G support and voice calling capabilities. It went on sale online earlier this week.  Ithas a 7-inch ( 800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen,  1 GHz processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) .It has a 2-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera. It also has 3G support via USB dongle. It has several pre-loaded apps including Saavn, TOI, Facebook, Skype, Diamond Twister, ET News, Movie Studio and more. Google Nexus 7 successor coming in July, says Reuters

Google plans to release a new version of the Nexus 7 tablet powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, reports Reuters. The upcoming Google Nexus tablet would have a high-resolution display, thinner bezel and have a Snapdragon Chip, instead of a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor says Reuter’s sources. Google has released the Android’s Platform Distribution Numbers for the March to April 2013. Devices running on Jelly Bean (Android 4.1 and 4.2) has jumped from 16.5% to 25% compared to February to March stats. This 8.5% jump in a single month shows that manufacturers have started releasing new Jelly Bean devices. Companies like Samsung and Sony have started releasing Jelly Bean updates for their high-end and mid-range devices. Even Indian companies have started rolling out Jelly Bean updates for their devices, but the contribution of these devices might be very less. Micromax A110 Canvas 2 and Salora PowerMaxx got the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update last month. JoikuShare for Android launched, lets you share files over WiFi

Joiku, a Finland-based company has launched the JoikuShare app for Android devices. This app lets you easily share and transfer your phone photos, music, videos and files with other WiFi devices. It uses uses local WiFi network or phone WiFi HotSpot to share files. It also acts as Media Player for remote WiFi playback of music and videos of your phone.
