If you take a look at some of our recent reviews, you’ll know what we are talking about. With almost identical specs, it is pretty hard even for the manufacturers to differentiate within their ecosystem. So, they try to differentiate with price or with features. Zen Ultrafone 701 HD Benchmarks

Zen launched the Ultrafone 701 HD back in April at a price tag of Rs. 11,999. We brough you the unboxing of the device earlier this week. Here we have the benchmarks of the device.  It has 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6589 Cortex A7 CPU clocked at 1.2 GHz with PowerVR SGX544 GPU. Most of the phones in the Indian market have the similar MediaTek chip. Let’s see how it performs when compared to other other smartphones in the similar price range.

Zen ultrafone 701 HD Unboxing

The Zen Ultrafone 701 HD is yet another entrant into the already crowded “5 inch 720p screen, quad core processor” market that has been flooded with a lot of phones this year. However, with a price tag of Rs. 11,999 this seems to be the cheapest of the lot in that range. Equipped with very similar specs to that of the various other smartphones in this price range, the device has landed in our office for testing. So, as a ritualistic start to the way of things, we start with the unboxing of the device, to see what’s special inside the box. Here’s the video –

Zen Ultrafone 701 HD with 5-inch HD display, 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, Android 4.2 launched for Rs. 11999


Zen Mobile has launched the Zen Ultrafone 701 HD, the company’s latest flagship Android smartphone in India. Pre-bookings for the phone started earlier this month.  It has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It packs a a 8MP auto focus camera with LED Flash, BSI sensor, full HD video recording, Panorama Shot, and Burst shot with upto 99 shots on the go. It has a 3.2 MP front-facing camera and comes with dual SIM support with dual Standby. This is the company’s first high-end smartphone sin the Ultrafone category, and it is aimed at smart and tech savvy youth. Zen Mobiles is all set to release their flagship Android smartphone, Zen Ultrafone 701 HD this month. It has a It has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8MP rear camera with LED Flash, BSI sensor,  and a 3.2MP front-facing camera. Most of the specifications are similar to the Micromax A116 Canvas HD. The company launched the Ultraphone U4, a budget Android smartphone earlier this year.
