Idea Cellular has launched Idea Magna and Magna L, two new Android KitKat smartphones with 3G connectivity in India. The Idea Magna has a 4-inch display and is powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core processor, while the Magna L has a 4.5-inch display and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor. Both these smartphones have a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera. These have Dual SIM support. Other details are not available yet. Sony has launched the Xperia Z3 Compact along with the Xperia Z3 in India. It was unveiled earlier this month at the IFA and packs a 4.6-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) Triluminos Display with X-Reality engine, slightly larger than the Z1 Compact, powered by slightly faster 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor and runs on Android 4.4.4 (KitKat) out of the box. It has the same 20.7-megapixel rear camera with Sony G lens, 4K video recording and a 2.2-megapixel 1080p front-facing camera, similar to the Xperia Z3. Sony has launched the Xperia Z3, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in India, as expected. It was unveiled at the IFA 2014 earlier this month. Even though the 5.2-inch 1080p display and the 20.7-megapixel rear camera with 1/2.3″ Sony Exmor RS image sensor are similar to the Xperia Z2, the Xperia Z3 has a more brighter screen, powered by a slightly faster Snapdragon 801 SoC and runs on Android 4.4.4 (KitKat) out of the box. Samsung is working on three devices under its A series – SM-A300, SM-A500 and SM-A700. Specs and leaks of the first two devices have already been leaked in photos and benchmarks. Now, an important detail regarding the phone is being revealed by SamMobile.
The report states that all the three A series devices will feature LTE connectivity. A feature mostly seen in high end devices, LTE support will also come to the Samsung A3 which is the low end device among the three phones. Samsung will likely name these three devices as Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 with each being priced between $350-$400, $400-450 and $450-$500 respectively.
Moving on, Galaxy A7 will be launched in selected countries unlike the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 which will be up for a global rollout, said the report. It speculates that Galaxy A7 will be sold in selected countries as the device might give a tough competition to its recently launched Galaxy Alpha thereby eating its sales.
No official word about when will the three devices will be released is known, however there is a possibility that they will be announced sometime in the third-quarter.

India is the fastest growing smartphone market in the world. The country has seen a rise in migration to smartphones from basic feature phones, according to the State of the Android Mobile Web report for India by Opera Software.
The report said that India has the largest Opera Mini user base in the world that has increased by 25% over the past year, while its smartphone user base surged by 120%. Meanwhile, the Android smartphones user base has increased by an impressive 160%, said the report.
