Lava launched the Lava Virat V1 Pro 5G smartphone in the Virat V1 series recently. Here we have the unboxing and first impressions of the smartphone from the online-first smartphone lineup.

The Virat V1 5G has a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display is bright, and the sunlight legibility is decent.
It has the notch that houses a 8megapixel camera. The earpiece is present on the top edge, but it doesn’t double up as a secondary speaker. You can see the thick bezel below the screen, which is common in phones in the price range.
Powered by the Unisoc T8200 6nm SoC, which is another name for the T765, it has 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 6GB of virtual RAM and comes with 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. There are several 5G bands. The phone runs Android 16 without any bloatware or ads.
Coming to the button placements, the power button is present on the right side that embeds the fingerprint scanner, and the volume rockers are present above it. The dedicated dual SIM and microSD slot is present on the left side. The 3.5mm audio jack, primary microphone, USB Type-C port, and primary speaker are present on the bottom. The secondary microphone is on the top.
The phone features a 50-megapixel main camera. It supports up to 2K 30 fps video recording for the back camera, and the front camera supports up to 1080p 30 fps video recording. Check out some camera samples below.
The matte finish for the plastic back doesn’t attract fingerprints, and the design is attractive. The phone has IP64 ratings for dust and splash resistance. The phone packs a huge 6000mAh battery with 18W charging.
Priced at Rs. 15,999, the phone is available from Flipkart and Lava’s official website. The company already revealed that offline retail rollout of the phone is planned for this September under the model name Shark 2 Pro 5G.
