Vodafone to launch UK broadband and TV services next Spring

EE may have just launched their own fixed broadband and TV service in the UK but chief rival Vodafone is close behind. Whilst talking about the Group’s fixed service income, Vodafone Group CEO Vittorio Colao noted that the company was set to launch its own residential broadband and TV service in the UK in Spring 2015.

Vodafone UK bundles NOW TV with 4G contracts

Vodafone UK have added Sky’s NOW TV service to the list of content that Vodafone 4G customers can opt for as part of their contract. NOW TV will join Spotify, Sky Sports Mobile TV and Netflix as options available to customers in the UK.

Vodafone India has launched Vodafone RED, all-in-one plans exclusively for its postpaid retail and enterprise customers. This eliminates the need for multiple rentals for voice and data, since it comes with voice, data and SMS benefits. The Vodafone RED plans are available starting from Rs. 499 and the Vodafone RED4Business plans are available from Rs. 666. The Vodafone RED4Business is segmented into two user groups of IOIP (Individual Owned Individual Paid) and COCP (Corporate Owned Corporate Paid).  Benefits vary depending on the plan. Micromax teams up with Vodafone to offer 2GB of free data with Canvas Knight

Micromax has partnered with Vodafone India to launch Canvas Knight with 2GB of free data for customers not active on a data pack. The pack would be activated in 48 hours on first Vodafone SIM inserted in the Canvas Knight before October 31, 2014. This offer would be extended to a wider portfolio of Micromax devices soon, says the company. Micromax started selling Canvas Knight A350 with Android 4.4 (KitKat) since last month. TDSAT allows 3G Intra-circle roaming pacts between Airtel, Vodafone and Idea


The Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) today cleared the 3G intra-circle roaming agreements signed between Bharti Airtel, Vodafone India and Idea Cellular by saying that the 3G intra-circle-roaming (ICR) does not violate the Unified Access Service Licence (UASL) license, reports ET. It has also quashed all penalties imposed by the Department of Telecom (DoT) on these operators last year.

Vodafone acquires 100% stake in Vodafone India

Vodafone has just announces that it has acquired 100% stake in its Indian subsidiary, Vodafone India Limited. It acquired indirect equity interests in VIL held by Analjit Singh and Neelu Analjit Singh in March, taking its stake to 89.03% of Vodafone India. Piramal Enterprises Limited has agreed to sell its 10.97% Vodafone India stake to Vodafone for Rs. 8,900 crores.
