Following months of leaks and rumours, last week HTC unveiled its new HTC One M9 flagship during Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona. Later the same day, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S6 but HTC’s flagship has a key advantage as it is set to go on sale several weeks’ before Samsung’s latest S handset. Today, the One M9 has gone up for pre-order on Vodafone UK ahead of an expected release on March 22nd.

The One M9 is available on a range of plans offering minutes, texts and 4G LTE Cat 6 data each month. To get the handset for free, you’ll need to spend £48.50 per month which would give you unlimited minutes and texts with 7GB 4G data each month alongside three months unlimited data and the choice of Now TV, Spotify Premium or Sky Sports Mobile TV included for the life of your contract.

If you need more data, there are plans with both 10GB and 20GB available for £53.50 and £58.50 per month respectively whilst Vodafone is also offering  the One M9 on 12 month contracts starting from £36.50 per month with an upfront handset cost. On the same 7GB plan mentioned above, the monthly cost is £58.50 (a premium of £10 per month) whilst the upfront handset charge is £199.

The One M9 is the latest flagship from HTC and comes with a few welcome improvements, mostly in the camera department where HTC have dropped the Duo camera from the One M8 and replaced it with a 20MP sensor which also comes with 4K video recording. The 4MP Ultrapixel camera from the rear of the One M8 makes its way to the front of the One M9 whilst other notable changes include Android 5.0 Lollipop, HTC Sense UI 7, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and a 2840 mAh battery.
