Just over a week ago we were in Barcelona for Mobile World Congress 2015 and, as I have done for many years now, I used my Vodafone SIM card with EuroTraveller to provide me data whilst on the ground. It’s been a year since we were last in MWC and in that time, Vodafone have introduced 4G Roaming in Spain alongside double speed 4G across their European network.

Traditionally Barcelona has really poor mobile data speeds (whether using a local SIM or roaming) during the MWC week as 90,000+ people descend upon the city for the annual conference. Ahead of the trip, I expected the traditional data coverage and speeds issues with previous years suggesting large ping times, really slow speeds and overall, a lack of reliable data. Vodafone Ireland introduces 4G Roaming across 33 countries

Vodafone Ireland has followed in the footsteps of its UK counterpart by introducing a new 4G Roaming offer that allows it customers to use their handset with superfast data whilst roaming in 33 countries around the world. For a single daily charge, consumers can use their inclusive Ireland allowances whilst roaming overseas with the daily cost varying depending on the country visited.

Vodafone UK’s 4G Roaming expanded to 17 more countries

Vodafone UK have today announced that their 4G Roaming network is now available in 17 additional countries around the world. The new countries brings the total included in the superfast roaming network up to 40 countries and makes Vodafone the largest 4G Roaming network in Europe.
