Blackberry Bold2 9700 Review

So here we have the Blackberry 9700, also popularly known as the Bold 2.  (RIM went as far as etching “Bold” on the back of the phone as well – something not present on the original Blackberry 9000, the Bold).  The original Bold was the first of it’s kind. The massive 2.5” screen with HVGA resolution, and the first 3G Blackberry, giving a clear impression RIM wanted to change the “boring” look of traditional blackberries (started by the introduction of Blackberry 8100).  The Bold 2 has built upon several of the predecessor’s in Blackberries’ lineup over the last year or so. The exact specs can be found here

Nokia 5530 XpressMusic Special Edition & Retail Edition Unboxing

I recently received two different units of Nokia’s latest touchscreen S60 5th Edition device, the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic. This new unit is somehow a cheaper version of the 5800 XpressMusic, with a non-CarlZeiss 3.2MP camera, and no GPS or 3G connection, as well as a smaller screen size. The design though is cleaner than the 5800 XM, and it’s smaller in size. The software is also more advanced, with a more functional homescreen and kinetic scrolling implemented better across all long lists.

Samsung Omnia HD Review Part-4: Camera

The Samsung Omnia HD has had a lot of things said about it. But the biggest USP of this product is the camera. This baby rocks an 8 megapixel camera that does recording in HD (1280 x 720) at 24fps.

Let’s see in detail how the Omnia HD performs in this critical section, since this is the strongest point on it.

20102009080

Samsung, today makes some of the highest megapixel count camera-phones in the world today. At 8MP, which is the current standard for high end phones, this camera is good. The Omnia HD has a lot of options and presets to help you get the most out of it. The interface on the Omnia HD’s camera is better than the Nokia solution on it’s touchscreen devices too. The only part where it loses out is the inclusion of a single LED flash. Without adequate flash, this phone cannot be used to capture anything in a dark area, as the results will be anything but acceptable. Continue reading “Samsung Omnia HD Review Part-4: Camera”
