Airtel Launches TweetSMS to send/receive tweets on your phone

Cashing on the phenomenal growth of Twitter since a year, Airtel is launching a third-party application that allows you to receive Twitter SMS updates directly onto your phone called “tweetSMS”.

Initially when Twitter was launched, they had SMS updates option and they were sending the users their replies and their friends updates via SMS but somewhere in 2008 Twitter stopped sending free SMS updates to users, and instead started teaming up with different service providers around the world to create an economical and easy way to get SMS updates on your phone. In India, Twitter has teamed up exclusively with Airtel to offer the SMS service for an unknown period of time.

Nokia N86 to have face detection in future firmware update!

AAS is reporting that Nokia’s camera flagship is to have the face detection feature in its next firmware upgrade. This feature, if it is implemented, will enable the N86, as the name suggests, detect a face and increase focus over it. Face Detection has long been available to samsung devices and now for the first time on a Nokia device.  Have a look at the screenshot below for further proof.

You must have seen the N97 vs iPhone 3G Pictures But here is a photo gallery showing the comparison between the Apple  iPhone 3GS and Nokia N97. Well the 3GS is not much different from the 3G in terms of external hardware. The internal hardware had some great improvements including a faster CPU and more RAM for apps. The N97 is a great device and beats the iPhone in most departments except the apps and the UI. Nokia N900 has been getting a lot of buzz weeks before Nokia World 2009. Mobile-Review posted pics and specs last week and yday we saw a official press shot being leaked . But today the N900 just got an official announcement as Nokia continues to bombard us with press releases. The phone runs Maemo Linux and you know what the device looks really promising – We would even give it the title of the Best Nokia Phone Ever by simply looking at the specs.
