Xiaomi just teased the launch of new Mi TV series in India. We expected it to be Mi TV 4, now a temporary listing on the official Xiaomi site has revealed that the 32-inch Mi TV 4 is coming to India and it also reveals the price as Rs. 12,999, which is possible since it about the same in India.
Xiaomi announced Oreo based MIUI Global Beta program for Mi 6 back in December 2017 and Oreo based MIUI Global Beta ROM for the device was released in January. Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 5 Pro in India a couple of weeks ago with a promise to bring face unlock via OTA before the end of March last week, the company delivered on the promise and released the OTA for enabling face unlock last week. This is the first Xiaomi smartphone in India to get the feature, even the Mi flagships like MIX 2 are yet to get AI based facial recognition unlock. Xiaomi today has launched India’s first Mi Home Experience store in Chennai. It is not a regular Mi Store, but a Store where products that are not available in India at Mi Home stores can be experienced. The Mi Home Experience Store will open tomorrow.

Xiaomi today announced that it has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Microsoft to collaborate in cloud computing, artificial intelligence and the development of equipment for use with notebook computers. The companies will also collaborate in personal assistants using their own existing devices, including Microsoft’s Cortana.

Xiaomi launched the the Mi TV 4 for the first time in India last week at a price of Rs. 39,999 . It went on sale in the country today at 2PM. Xiaomi has announced that the TV got huge response from the customers, which was sold out in less than 10 seconds on Flipkart and Mi.com. A new smartphone codenamed Blackshark has surfaced on AnTuTu, revealing that it is a top-end smartphone. This hints that it could be Black shark technology incorporated, in which Xiaomi has invested. The company’s website shows that it has been established in August 2017 and its weibo account reveals that it is a mobile phone maker. The teaser on its website shows some kind of a gaming device.

The Redmi Note 5 has a 12-megapixel rear camera with 5-element lens, f/2.2 aperture and large 1.25μm pixel size, compared to 1.12μm pixel size on the Redmi Note 4. It also comes with dual-tone LED flash. It has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and selfie flash.

Xiaomi today launched the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphones in India at an event in Delhi. At the launch the company announced that it has partnered with Reliance Jio to give the Biggest Jio offer ever to the Note 5 and Note 5 Pro users to its customers. The company had first partnered with Jio for Redmi 5A last year that offered Rs. 1000 cashback to the buyers.
