After 55-inch 4K and 43-inch Full HD TVs in the Mi TV 4C series, Xiaomi has introduced new 50-inch 4K HDR TV in the TV 4C line-up in China. Other than the screen size, most of the specs are similar to the 55-inch model, including PatchWall, a UI layer on top of the Android OS that’s based on deep learning AI technology that can curate content based on recommendations, Dolby and DTS Audio and Mi Remote Control with gesture controls and Speech Recognition for voice control. Xiaomi was one of the manufacturers which opted for capacitive navigation keys in favor to utilize maximum screen for display, but with 18:9 devices Xiaomi had to ditch the physical keys for on-screen navigation keys as devices with new aspect ratio have minimal bezels at front. After the launch of Mi Band HRX Edition last year in India, Xiaomi started selling the Mi Band Strap in Blue color. Today it has launched the strap in Green and Orange colors as well. A couple of weeks ago Xiaomi integrated content from streaming apps like Hungama Play, Youtube, Hotstar, Amazon Prime Videos into its Mi Video app. Content from Hungama is displayed on the homepage of Mi Video app as Xiaomi had made an investment of $25 Million back in 2016. Xiaomi launched the Redmi 5 smartphone in India earlier this month. We recently brought you the unboxing and first impressions of the smartphone, here we have the camera samples from the phone. The Redmi 5 has a 12-megapixel rear camera with 5-element lens, f/2.2 aperture and large 1.25μm pixel size, same as the Redmi Note 5, but it has a single LED flash compared to dual-tone LED flash. Xiaomi unveiled the Mi MIX 2S this week, but it did not feature an in-display fingerprint sensor as rumored earlier. Xiaomi smartphone code-named dipper surfaced in benchmarks with Snapdragon 845, 6GB RAM and Android 8.0, which is rumored to be Mi 7. According to the source code, the Mi 7 might not come with a fingerprint sensor, however Xiaomi is testing an in-display fingerprint scanner on dipperold, which could be the Mi 7 Plus.

Xiaomi just announced Mi MIX 2S, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in the Mi MIX series in Shanghai, as it had promised. It has a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display, is powered by Snapdragon 845 with up to 8GB RAM, support for Google ARCore and runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) with support for AI voice assistant. It has a 12-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX363 sensor, 1.4µm pixel size, OIS, Dual Pixel auto focus and a secondary 12-megapixel rear camera for AI portraits and has AI scene recognition that can detect 25 categories and 206 kinds of scenes. The 5-megapixel front camera, which as been moved to the bottom part of the phone. It has support for AI portrait selfies with real-time background blur and the phone also has face unlock.
