Xiaomi just announced Redmi S2, the company latest selfie-focused smartphone in the Redmi series in China. It packs a 5.99-inch HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio, is powered by Snapdragon 625 with up to 3GB RAM, runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) with MIUI 9 on top, has a 12-megapixel rear camera with LED flash along with a secondary 5-megapixel camera to capture depth information for AI portrait shots. Xiaomi Redmi S2 with 5.99-inch 18:9 display, dual rear cameras, dedicated Dual SIM slots listed online

Xiaomi is all set to introduced its Redmi S2 smartphone in China on May 10th. Now the smartphone has been listed on Aliexpress as the global version. This shows the design of the smartphone and also hints that it will roll out globally, including India, after the release in China.

Xiaomi S2  was certified  by TENAA in China a few days back, now the phone has been spotted in Czech Republic in images and video. This confirms the specifications including 5.99-inch HD+ display, dual rear cameras with a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a secondary 5-megapixel sensor. Xiaomi Redmi S2 with 5.99-inch 18:9 display, dual rear cameras, Android 8.1 gets certified

After details of the Xiaomi S2 surfaced  in firmware files, the phone has been certified by TENAA in China as expected. It has model number M1803E6E, features a  5.99-inch HD+ 18:9 display, is powered by Snapdragon 625, runs Android 8.1 (Oreo), has a 12-megapixel rear camera with LED flash along with a secondary 5-megapixel rear camera. Even though the firmware revealed it will have a 5-megapixel front camera, the certification site reveals a 16-megapixel front camera. It is said to have face unlock.
